The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz S 560. The contact stated while driving 10 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the warning light was cleared; however, the failure recurred the following day. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the oil pump and an unknown wiring harness had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 29,100.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS
This car since new has had moisture in the headlight from rain or washing. MB has installed moisture packets in the headlights that they said would fix the problem. It never did. I called the dealership and complained, they said sorry but that was their fix (MB TSB LI82.10-P-062051). Now the lights have failed, and they want me to spend $10K to replace the headlights and continue with the same issue. The problem still exists with the new headlights. This is not only a poor way to fix an ongoing problem (Moisture packets) for something that is severely related to safety on the highways in America. I believe you will agree. Please respond? Thank you

We're on our fifth windshield, and I'm concerned that there is some sort of structural issue. We've lived in the same area for more than 10 years and have never had this problem with any of our other cars, SUVs, or trucks. Sometimes, it sounds like a piece of sand has hit the windshield, and BOOM...another cracked windshield, but it always cracks on the driver's side. This isn't normal. Also, settings don't save to our profiles, and the backup warning signal doesn't work dependably. We've had these things looked at several times by the dealership. They have no answers.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Every Mercedes Benz manufactured in 2021 has a defective hood lens which prevents the adaptive driver assistance system from working properly. You can have it on and it will work intermittently which can easily cause a major crash. Mercedes Benz says the part is not available in USA or Germany. Every Mercedes is affected. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for the part. My brother, who owns the same car, has been waiting over one month. It’s a major problem because the car is suppose to self drive on the highway and it’s not staying in lane because of this defective hood lens. Hey [XXX] , I apologize for the inconvenience. There have been a few S classes with a similar message to yours. We have to order the camera lens hoods for your vehicle, but they are in back order. We don't have one in stock in the USA or Germany. I could have you stop by the dealership and clean the camera lens hood to temporarily remove the message on the dashboard. I can also order the part while the vehicle is here, and we would have to wait a few months for the part to arrive. The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550. The contact stated that the rear driver's side seat belt was inoperable. The contact stated that the seat belt failed to retract as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed seat belt retractor. The contact was informed that the seat belt retractor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

I got this certified car from Mercedes Benz dealer. I have driven it sparingly for less than 10K miles without really any hitting any bumps or potholes . After a recent service [XXX] 2024 at a MB dealer, I was told that 2 wheels were cracked 1 front & 1 back . I took it to another MB dealer (MB Morristown, NJ) to change the wheels & they advised that all 4 wheels were cracked, & one wheel had 3 cracks. These are premium AMG staggered wheels & without a doubt there is genuine design issue or defect to wheels which at high-speed could crack & crumble causing major injury & destruction to property. The driver side reader door can be opened when the door is locked. The door can be inspected on request. The risk is that the door can be opened when the door is indicated as locked. There are no lights to the contrary. The car is inspected by Mercedes dealer at McFarland in Georgia. See Mercedes recall Campaign 2018010009, March 2018.

Staggered tires on this car Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 2 Run flats. Front size - 245/40 R 20/99y, Rear -275/35 R 20/102 These tires cannot take the load of the car . I purchased the vehicle & the same tire (front driver side) has blown & ripped open over a moderate pothole, Aug 2020 & in Sep, 2022. In my opinion these tires are massive liability and a huge safety hazard. These are Summer runflat tires & also there no Allseason ROF's

The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased 6 months prior and while observing the vehicle, both the front original tires had bubbles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The tires were replaced with the same brand and tire line. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH 4-months later, the passenger's side front tire had a blowout. The vehicle was towed to a different dealer. The tire was replaced with the same brand and tire line. The contact stated that 2 months later, the failure recurred with the passenger's side front tire where there were bubbles on the tire. The vehicle was taken to the initial dealer. The contact owns a 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the "Camera System Unavailable" and "Camera Dirty" messages were displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the failure was caused by a bumper guard placed on the front license plate, rendering the driving assist sensor inoperable. Despite the removal of the bumper guard, the failure persisted. Recently, the contact received text from the dealer that stated that several other owners of the model year vehicle had experienced the same failure. The letter stated that a defective camera lens hood had caused the failure; however, the parts for the repair were on backorder. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

The "distronic" cruise control is so abrupt in its acceleration and declaration that vehicles behind me tend to take evasive action. The car doesn't sense vehicles far enough ahead to take smooth action, resulting in a jarring, favorite, and fearful ride.

I was sold a vehicle by a dealership with a busted gas tank. It appears to have been an attempt to repair it with patching material. I am unsure if the defect was a result of manufacturing versus acquired damage. My safety is at risk because of leaking gas that could potentially ignite and inhaling strong gas fumes that could impact my lungs and health. The fuel tank damage has been confirmed by a mechanic and documented. It has not been inspected by any other entity while in my possession other than reported inspection by the dealership. I secured the vehicle on [XXX] from the dealership with these safety concerns. A mechanic stated the damage could have resulted either with the dealership or during on and off the trailer during transport of the vehicle from Florida to Indiana.
