I PURCHASED MY 2019 IN 2023. LEASE RETURN. I HAVE OPENED THE SUNROOF MAY 5 TIMES SINCE PURCHASING. THE SUNROOF NO LONGER OPENS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE RAIL SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM IS NOT READILY ACCESSIBLE AND HAS TO BE FIXED BY REMOVING THE THE CEILING INSIDE. THE PARTS AND LABOR CHARGE HAS BEEN QUOTED AT $3400. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO 2 DEALERSHIP AND CALLED A 3RD TO GET AN PHONE ESTIMATE. EACH SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT THIS HAPPENS TO MOST OF THE 2019 GLE COUPES BUT HAS BEEN RESOLVED IN THE NEWER MODELS. I ASKED IS THIS SOMETHING I COULD HAVE CAUSED AND THEY EACH SAID NO, THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE RAILING SYSTEM. A FAILING SUNROOF RAIL SYSTEM COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE INTERNAL WATER DAMAGE OVER TIME DUE THE SUNROOF NOT CLOSING CORRECTLY. EXTENDED WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER THE RAILING SYSTEM ONLY THE MOTOR OF THE SUNROOF.

While driving on the freeway, in a construction zone, at night, in the rain, the windshield wipers of my vehicle stopped working and froze in the upright (vertical) position. Because it was raining, and night time, I pulled to the side of the road and engaged the hazard lights. I attempted to restart the vehicle several times, as well as to turn the wipers on and off several times, to no avail. The dealership the car was taken to was able to confirm that the wipers did not, in fact, work. There was no warning that the wipers would stop working, no lamps came on, and no symptoms indicated that the wipers would fail. The vehicle has since been repaired and, therefore, not available for inspection.

Complete engine failure in traffic. Prior to vehicle stopping it did not give me any message that the vehicle was having a problem. The total milage on the vehicle is 21,908. Other than being told the engine has to be replaced, I have been given no information upon what cause the failure. All service requirements have been done timely. The failure occurred on August 25th and as of Oct 19th I have not been able to get an ETA on when the replacement will arrive from Germany. I was on vacation to Las Vegas when the incident occurred. The vehicle is currently located at Fletcher Jones Import 7300 W. Sahara Ave Las Vegas NV. First noticed engine with slight miss as I was 70 miles from Vegas. Miss got worst until I started hearing a rattle from passenger side of engine. At time it shut down I was in traffic at stop light in Vegas.

I purchased a Certified Pre Owned Mercedes 2019 GLE 43 AMG from West Covina Mercedes-Benz Dealership in 2020 with 8,252 miles on it. This year I started to hear a noise upon accerlating which later lead to a rough acceleration. It feels like my car is struggling to get going. I took it to get diagnoised by three different mechanics and they have all mentioned that; Directory Control Valve & harness need to be replaced. I took it to the Mercedez Benz West Covina to have the service completed and I asked if it falls under any warranty as I was 34,981 miles and they stated no. They also stated that no recalls were made. After looking on KBB to see how much my car is worth I see that there are recalls for the GLE under this exact part. Also upon service they reccommend resealing the cam covers due to the engine over heating. I specifically requested them to inspect the valve but they werent able to. I do believe this make and model is part of the manufactuer recall/defects that falls under campaign 23V445 and would like this to be investigated. Kbb also states it falls under this recall but when you call to verify by vin this will not show up in MBUSA system. Attached documents.

Having issues with my car upon accerlation. 35-38 mph I hear a noise briefly that is hard to pin point as it doesn't happen every time I accelerate. Took it in to find the cause and was told that its just my tires making a noise. however I have taken to a few mechanics and tire shops and told me that it wouldn't cause my car to be sluggish. tires are basic wear and tear.

The glass pane between my windshield and my dual-pane panoramic sunroof exploded while parked in my garage in the middle of the night. This car is not even 2 months old yet, has never been damaged and could have killed me had it randomly exploded while I was driving.

- #11543347September 8, 2023VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
The adaptive cruise on the Mercedes has a habit of harsh braking during stop and go traffic. It's not a natural braking manev8, instead it's jarring and I feel like it could cause a rear end with how jarring it is. Many other users are experiencing the same.

- #11541807August 31, 2023ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
Engine does while driving; when accelerator pressed there is often a delay of several seconds before the car speed will increase as the engine will rev but the transmission will not engage for several seconds. This is occurring sporadically but with increasing regularity. Dealer cannot find any error codes. Seems like it’s a fuel pump and/or computer chip issue.

Body panel above windshield that is attached with adhesive had an adhesive failure and broke in half while driving. My insurance company concluded that it was not impact related, and that it was caused by an adhesive failure. This is a known issue, but no recalls were issued for the 2019 GLE model. Documentation available upon request.

On March 30, 2023, my 2022 AMG GLE 53 check engine warning light came on. I immediately called Capitaleurocars the Mercedes Benz dealer. On May 1, 2023, according to the Capitaleurocars service order, the technician noted the following: "found the check engine light on" then performed "a guided test for fault code (P146264) and found fuel pressure and temp sensor passing test." The technician wrote "Checked PTSS cases and checked for related LI documents. Found LI-47.50-p-070263 which states that software is under development for this issue. no software available at this time. Cleared code and released back to customer." Capitaleurocars service department could not tell me when the software update would be issued, but I would be notified as soon as it was released. I was also told that on September 6, 2022, a temperature sensor was replaced on the vehicle due to the check engine warning light being on. I asked if the issue on September 6, 2022, was the same issue I was having and I was told yes, it was the same fault code. So, approximately a month before I purchased the car on October 1, 2022, the check engine warning light was on and a temperature sensor was replaced. The Capitaleurocars service department suggested I call MBUSA Customer Service to get more information about the software update. I researched the LI document number and found that NHTSA had received a complaint on 06/25.2020, with same the LI 47.50-p-070263 document number and fault code P146264. The complaint to NHTSA was on a GLE and noted as follows: Complaint: Check engine light active and FC P146264 Temp. and pressure sensor B4/7 is stored in engine control unit and tank control unit. Cause: Software parameter in Fuel pump control unit Remedy: Update SW in FSCU control unit Capitaleurocars Service Department did confirmed that the fault code found on my car on May 1, 2023, was the same as the one reported to NHTSA on 06/25/2020.
