While driving and front driver seatbelt fastened, the seat belt unfastened warning will intermittently go on and off tightening the seat belt, as if first starting the car. This has occurred for several weeks now. Per the attached recall notice, this issue has already been identified in 2018 GLC models (my VIN does not show up, however, as part of the recall), and could cause failure of the restraint system. I showed the recall notice to a Mercedes dealer, but they could not replicate the intermittent problem and did not repair it (see attached).

Vehicle vibrates quite violently when hit some potholes. Steering wheel is the part that vibrates more but vibration is felt throughout the vehicle. It is more prevalent at highway between 55-65 mph speed. I also noticed that car shakes unusually and tilts to one side at times making it quite uncomfortable for driver. back tires make slipping noice on potholes and feels like car is going to be unstable momentarily . All these issues are putting driver and others at risk. I joined Facebook page of glc300 owners and almost everyone reported this kind of problem. For most of the people including me , it is still unresolved . I took my vehicle to dealer and they updated software but issue still persists.

- #11480844August 23, 2022FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
While driving on the NYS Thruway last week, when I accelerated to pass another car, my engine bucked and kicked followed by the "check engine" light coming on.In very heavy traffic, I was able to pull to the shoulder. I called my service garage and they suggested I not drive the car for safety reasons. When the tow truck arrived, I briefly started the car with the same bucking and kicking from the engine. The car was taken to my regular garage where the "check engine" codes showed issues with the fuel injector and fuel injection system. I was told there is an existing RECALL CAMPAIGN # 2022030003 for the same year, make and model as mine but, my VIN is not part of that RECALL. I would like your help as I do not believe Mercedes-Benz is being fair or equitable in this RECALL. ThankYou

The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC43. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate after coming to a complete stop while the steering wheel was turned. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic throttle control (ETC) software needed to be replaced; however, the dealer was unable to replace the ETC software and referred the contact to the manufacturer for further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer declined the contact's request to buy back the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 800. The consumer requested Mercedes Benz buy the vehicle back, but they only offered a free months payment and release of liability but consumer refused the offer.

While driving my SUV, I turned a corner and I heard and felt a wire or wires pull and snap inside the steering wheel. I then found that I could not operate any of the controls on the steering wheel and the driver side airbag light came on with a disabled message on the display. I think that it is the clock spring inside of the steering wheel that got caught up and snapped from me turning the wheel.

Engine coolant after 2000 miles from topped off by dealership got low and sparked fire, and totaled my car. Warning alert was ON to say turn off engine remove key. Articles related to this: 800,000 Mercedes-Benz Owners Warned Their Cars Could Catch Fire (forbes.com) Daimler warns car owners of fire risk it lacks parts to fix | Reuters 800,000 Mercedes Vehicles Are In Risk Of Catching Fire, But They Don't Have The Parts To Fix It (topspeed.com) Auto manufacturer Daimler advised 800,000 Mercedes-Benz owners that a technical defect could cause their cars to catch fire, but said it lacked the parts to fix the defect immediately, warning owners to instead drive “particularly carefully.” When confronted with the above with Mercedes Benz my vehicle fire MB maintained that the fire is a hot surface ignition issue and denied the car had any design issue. In the article, MB's warning to owners to instead drive "particularly carefully" means to me that they do admit there are critical and chronic issues with the car that would not only produce trip interruptions but catch fire altogether. It is mandatory for Mercedes to redesign the coolant's chronic issues and make the recall so that more owners will not be faced with the problem I had -- total loss of the vehicle.

Hello, I own a 2019 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 that's been on recall with no remedies released since April of this year. The recall is a SIM module defect that is suppose to help the driver get ahold of emergency responders in case an accident were to happen. The remedy is suppose to be OTA, but I have not seen anything update on my vehicle and I am worried Mercedes is going to forget about this update.

- #11475234July 22, 2022BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
In July 2021, Mercedes notified me of NHTSA Recall #21V354 n certain MY 2019-2021 Mercedes-Benz vehicles listed above, under certain conditions, the MBUX multimedia system might not start and the display might remain black, or could reboot unintentionally after 50 seconds of initial startup. Accordingly, the rearview camera image might not be displayed or the display might be interrupted which could reduce the driver’s rear view, and increase the risk of a crash or injury. Mercedes indicated the update would be pushed to the car Over the Air (OTA). More than a year later, the update still has not been pushed OTA. I took the car to the Mercedes dealer that I bought the car from and they were unable to install the update either. It's apparent that Mercedes OTA process does not work for all vehicles, and Mercedes has provided me no method by which I can get the update completed.

The SIM has the potential to become disabled and won’t connect to the mobile network. They have announced the problem but it has been months with no remedy even though it’s stated to be performed over the air. If I get into an accident there is a chance emergency responders will show up late if at all. This risk is there everytime I drive my vehicle

Getting error code P052e which has been a very common issue with these engines on Mercedes models. It does not affect driving but since it’s out of warranty, it will cost over $3,000 to repair. Mercedes knows this and included it on their extended warranty for Diesel engines, not gasoline.

I was suggest by dealer to replace crank case vent value as its blocked and quoted $300 for part and 1800 for labor cost as they need to remove whole engine and replace part. Issue is how can mercedes benz design such engine with 6-7 hrs of labor intensive work and 6 times higher labor cost than part cost. I was told this work is necessary for engine efficiency and to pass SMOG test. I feel design issue is related to car / passenger safety and environment hazard. Also it looks like a very common recurring issue with mercedes models based google search. Added to it local dealer didnt find a problem when my car is under warranty or within service packages. Warranty completed and came up with these problems.
