The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated while driving out of a parking lot at 5-10 MPH and making a left turn, the windshield wipers and the rearview camera engaged independently. Additionally, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly and crashed into another vehicle that was unoccupied and parked on the left side of the road. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained bruises and soreness around the left elbow, but did not seek medical assistance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a Mercedes-Benz auto collision center, where she was informed that the front driver' side suspension was fractured due to the collision. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

Vehicle is switching gears automatically from Drive to Neutral in the middle of the road, in the middle of driving, VERY dangerous situation. I cannot put in reverse sometimes it switches back to N. . It always switch his back to neutral. Thankfully no accidents. Don’t know what to do?

ENGINE
1.This is my new GLC 300 and after taking delivery and running for around 300 miles check engine light on my dashboard 2.Took it to Ray catena freehold service center and they kept this vehicle for 2 days and ran test and said no issues or no error codes found for the engine light 3. Service department said they cleared all the codes and updated the software and it should be good 4. After taking it from service center the check engine light is again on and its quite random 5. The check engine light goes off on its own and then pop up when i start again and its quite random 6. Worried whether this vehicle is road worthy or not 5. This all started when a message from the 12 v battery came in Mercedes me app saying its draining so start the vehicle after that this message is quite randomly coming

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I am having the following issues with my digital lights on my 2023 GLC. Dealer states normal. It is unsafe and should have a recall/software update. VIN: [XXX] Dangerously inadequate forward visibility at night on low beam/inadequate beam pattern. Level of illumination not at legal minimum of visibility on low beam/ no long distance illumination yet creates excessive illumination of retroreflective signs creating distraction. Adaptive Driving Beam not functional. Extremely limited beam pattern on low beam. Topographic/dynamic leveling does not adjust beam so you are blind going down hill/up hill at night. Poor image/contrast for projection/symbols. Only triangle works. Cornering light not functional. Cannot see sides when cornering at night. I am writing to express my deep concern and seek assistance regarding a potentially serious safety issue that I have experienced with my vehicle. I believe that my experience poses a significant risk to both my safety and that of other road users. In June, I encountered a distressing incident when my vehicle's steering wheel locked unexpectedly, leading to a hydroplaning incident that caused my vehicle to veer off the road. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the situation was undeniably dangerous and alarming. My vehicle displayed a "steering wheel malfunction" message on the screen at the time of the incident. Following this event, I immediately contacted Mercedes Benz to report the issue and seek resolution. Subsequently, on August 1st, my vehicle was taken to a local Mercedes dealership as part of their investigation into the matter. On August 4th, I received a call from the dealership informing me that the inspection had been completed. However, they stated that they were unable to discuss the inspection findings with me directly, emphasizing that any communication regarding the investigation should come from Mercedes Benz USA. Despite my numerous attempts to communicate with Mercedes Benz USA through phone calls and emails, seeking information on the inspection findings and requesting a copy of the inspection report, there was no response or communication from the company. This lack of response and communication from Mercedes Benz left me deeply unsettled. However, I wish to update you that on August 31st, Mercedes Benz USA finally responded to my inquiries. While I appreciate their belated response, the substantial delay in communication further exacerbated my concerns about the safety of my vehicle and the responsibility of the manufacturer. Given the gravity of the incident and the potential risks associated with a steering wheel malfunction, I believe it is imperative that this matter is taken seriously and addressed promptly.

I lost power on while driving at speed and almost got rear-ended before pulling over. I had to tow the car to a mechanic. After diagnosis it turned out the pistons are cracked and had to be replaced as well as the rod bearings. The pistons have a very abnormal burn pattern and rod bearing wear per my mechanic. This is a beautiful car and I take above average care of it. No car sold in the US should have pistons crack at such a short amount of miles. I believe Mercedes Benz should be held liable for their engineering error.

Vehicle loses power, my vehicle stop on the highway going 55 miles per hour, I came very close to being rear ended. My vehicle consumes excessive fuel, the vehicle quicks back upon acceleration. This causes a great concern as I used my vehicle for work. I attempted to have the dealer resolve this and I was told that there was nothing they could do. However, this faulty performance might cause a traffic accident and I could also involve the life of myself or another individual in the vicinity of my vehicle. The vehicle also has a late start which is also a problem while driving. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle as I fear for my life and the life of others.

DIGITAL LIGHT low beam inadequate distance for safe driving on unlit roadway. Low beam has unnecessary blacked out areas causing distraction. Low beams too low, especially driving down hills. Adaptive high beams revert to low beam without any apparent light to trigger camera/sensor. Dealer states they are all the same, nothing they can do, call MB USA. MB USA gave me a case number but do no seem interested in solving the issue

Brakes slammed on when passing a parked vehicle on side of road, causing following vehicle to almost rear end me. Following vehicle driver blew horn .I was driving at 45 mph speed limit with cruise control set and turn signal active to pass parked vehicle. Scary experience.
