SummaryA kick-down switch has been adopted to determine when the customer has fully depressed the throttle pedal for maximum acceleration. A load can be felt while the accelerator pedal is being depressed. When the accelerator pedal is depressed further, the kick-down switch is activated and a click is felt. The driver can control the kick-down by knowing the amount of accelerator depression. An electrical signal is not transmitted by the kick-down switch turning on/off.

SSPC5 - 2019-2021 MAZDA3 AND 2020-2021 CX-30 - CONTROL UNITS REPROGRAMMING 4219L - 2019MY MAZDA3 SUDDEN DECELERATION FROM FALSE BRAKE ACTIVATION 2024 CX-90 with VINS lower than JM2KK******151673 (produced before November 25, 2023), VCM software update available using TSB 15-001/24. DESCRIPTION This information will give you the necessary knowledge to respond to customers concerns of Smart Brake Support (SBS) unintended braking. By educating the customer on the system operation, it should reduce their anxiety or distrust of the vehicle. IMPORTANT: Humans recognize an object with their eyes and decide whether or not to apply the brakes using their brain. The vehicle recognizes objects using the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and Front Radar sensor (FR), to determine brake application. Therefore, drivers may feel that the operation does not match the human feeling.

SummarySome customers may experience that the air conditioning system stops working. Upon inspection, DTC B1082:19 [DASH_ESU] (Air mix actuator (RH) circuit malfunction) is stored in memory. DTC B1082:19 is stored as a past malfunction and continues in one drive cycle, then returns normal at the next drive cycle. Due to the electrical noise caused when the air mix actuator is driven too quickly, a false malfunction may be detected. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the dash-electrical supply unit has been modified.

SummarySome vehicles may exhibit that the tilt switch knob on the power seat does not return to its original position after operating it and/or a stick-slip noise may occur when operating the power seat tilt switch. This may be caused by the frictional resistance of the tilt switch knob increasing in a low-temperature environment. To eliminate this concern, a solid film lubricant has been applied to the switch knob to reduce the friction.

SummarySome vehicles may exhibit one or both of following, making the customer uncomfortable with the operation; 1. Sometimes the steering assist feeling by the Emergency Lane Keeping may be stronger than expected while driving at 37 mph 60 km/h) (or faster. 2.The Smart Brake Support may operate unexpectedly when parking in reverse under certain conditions, mainly while driving at 1.2 mph ( 2 km/h) to 9.3 mph (15 km/h) on flat ground in reverse and vehicle(s) etc. are present around the parking space. 3. While driving on a curved road condition with the MRCC activated, a vehicle in the right or left lane may be detected as an ahead vehicle and the MRCC unexpectedly reduces vehicle speed. This is caused by: 1. There was some room to refine the engineering for a better steering feel. 2.Too sensitive detection of vehicles or objects while in reverse and backing up. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) has been modified.

SummarySome customers may experience that the passenger-side outer door mirror glass tilts down when unlocking and opening the driver's door. This is caused by a door-electrical supply unit malfunction due to changes in the vehicle power conditions. Alternatively, after the passenger-side door mirror tilts down in response to reversing, it does not return to its original position even when the reverse is disengaged. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the door-electrical supply unit (passenger's side) has been modified.

SummarySome customers may complain about squeaking noise coming from the rear of vehicle when driving on bumpy roads and turning. This is caused when the lubricant coating comes out of the bump stopper, changing the resistance between the damper rod and bump stopper. To eliminate this concern, rubber grease is being added inside the bump stoppers during the production process.
