It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. * In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). * In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern.   If the right-side Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) control module is replaced for any reason, it is also necessary to replace the left-side BSM control module in order to complete the radar aiming procedure. If the right-side BSM control module is replaced alone, "Automatic Configuration" and "BSM Radar Aiming" cannot be completed due to a programming error in the module. Other possible symptoms that may be found if the right-side BSM module is replaced alone: * BSM aiming fails * "BSM OFF" indicator ON * Center Display warning message * BSM failsafe (No operation) * DTC U3000:54 stored in memory * DTC U1A4B:54 stored in memory (CX-3, MX-5 only)

  Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush.

  Some customers may experience a squeaking noise may be heard from the exhaust manifold when the idle speed drops from fast idle to normal idle speed during cold start. This is caused by a variable valve being stuck in the closed position. When returning from fast idle to normal, the stuck valve suddenly opens due to thermal change around it which causes abnormal noise. To eliminate this concern, the internal design of the exhaust manifold has been modified.

  Some vehicles may experience a lack of power and the check engine light on with DTC P061B:00 stored in PCM memory under one of the following conditions (A or B). - DTC P061B:00 - [PCM] Internal control module torque calculation performance problem. Condition Condition Description A When cranking is interrupted (likely occurs when the brake pedal is released during cranking) B When accelerating from 1300-1600 rpm with wide open throttle Due to an improper control logic of the PCM, the engine torque calculation error detection is too sensitive. To eliminate this concern, the PCM software has been modified.

  Some vehicles may have rust on the contact parts between the clips (for attaching the roof molding) and the roof panel (ditches of the roof rail). This is caused by the gap between the roof molding attachment clips and the roof panel not being wide enough to allow paint to be appropriately applied to the roof panel. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the roof molding clip has been changed to enable paint application between the clip's rib and roof during the manufacturing process.
