Drain and refill the rear drive unit (RDU), refer to Workshop Manual Section (WSM) 205-02. Drive for 8 km (5 miles) in stop and go conditions with right and left turns and re-evaluate. If the issue is still present, continue with WSM diagnostics. For claiming, use base (4000) causal part.

Malfunction Service Required, or Pre-Collision Assist Not Available. This may be due to a disconnected or discharged battery, recent PSCM or anti-lock brake system (ABS) module reprogram or configuration, or loss of ABS communication to the PSCM. The Workshop Manual pinpoint test is in the process of being updated and replacement of the electronic power assist steering (EPAS) column is not necessary. To clear the DTC, drive the vehicle straight for 30 seconds at speeds over 50 km/h (30 mph). Cycle the ignition on/off once complete. For claiming use causal part 3C529.

SummarySome 2019-2020 Edge/Nautilus/Ranger, 2020 Escape and 2020-2021 Corsair/Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.0L/2.3L EcoBoost may exhibit a lack of power with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P02AB, P0243, P0299, P1464, P25B3, P25B4, P2AB7, P2AB8 and/or P2AB9. This may be due to a missing wastegate actuator e-clip. A lower level service component has been released, K2GZ-9G488-B for Edge/Nautilus/Escape/Corsair vehicles and LB5Z-9G488-B for Explorer/Ranger vehicles, for service to replace the actuator, actuator rod and both e-clips. Turbocharger replacement is not necessary for missing wastegate actuator e-clips.

SummarySome 2020 Escape/Corsair vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0442, P0455, P0456, and/or P0457. This may be due to damage to the carbon canister which may have occurred during vehicle transportation. This condition may not occur for a few hundred miles/km or equivalent key cycles. Inspect the left side underbody air deflector for damage. If damage or witness marks are present, remove the left side air deflector and inspect the carbon canister for damage. As a reminder, dealers are responsible for inspecting new vehicles received by the dealership. When accepting delivery from the carrier, dealers must notify the carrier in writing of any concealed damage within 2 business days (certified mail with return receipt recommended). Refer to Section 2 of the Warranty and Policy Manual.
