SummaryA customer may be unable to select a transmission gear and/or start the engine. A 'Gearbox fault' message may also be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC). Switching the ignition 'OFF' and then 'ON' clears the fault. Upon further diagnosis, a Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0402-09 stored in the Transmission Control Switch (TCS). DTCs U0402-00 (stored in the Powertrain Control Module [PCM]) and/or U0404-64 (stored in the Transmission Control Module [TCM]) may also be found.

SummaryA potential issue has been identified on a limited number of Land Rover vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where depending on the type and style of driving that the vehicle is subjected to, the 'Service Required' message may be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC) at a distance less than that shown in the service interval plans. The software update within the Technical Bulletin listed below will separate the oil dilution counter from the time and distance service counter, allowing individual counter resets to be applied depending on the type of service completed.

SummaryAn issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the 'Service Required' message will not appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) if a vehicle has reached its service point and the engine is started normally by pressing the engine START/STOP button with the brake pedal pressed. Turning on the ignition only, by pressing the engine START/STOP button without the brake pedal pressed, will still allow the 'Service Required' warning message to be displayed. In addition, the latest Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software has introduced a concern relating to the ability to reset the service message indicator. The latest IC software will rectify these concerns.
