03/23/2022 11:06:18 3/23 Yes, I still have concerns and I have told Kia numerous times to email or text me but instead they conveniently call while I'm at work 7am-4pm so I can't answer the phone. Due to the continuous oil burning issue that Kia refuses to fix or address eventhough I have agreed to pay, the mechanic now says there's a knock sensor issue which makes it unsafe to drive. I have reached out to Kia for months now, with still no resolution in sight.. If this case is above your pay grade or administrative power, please direct my case to someone who can assist in a speedy and competent manner. A very disappointed customer. 03/15/2022 12:24:02 3/14, 5th message- car needed to be taken to Goodyear due the following:This is the recall (see attachment) that hasn't been fixed on my Kia Sorento yet which can cause other issues - knock sensor such as the ones (stalling) 3/13. 03/13/2022 18:03:52 4th message 3/13/2022 Interesting never received a Thursday or second call from rep Ronee as promised in a previous email. My senior citizen 2 time cancer survivor mom attempted to drive my car to return it to me in Vegas when an hour out of Tucson it stalled as oil light came on. Previously Royal Kia had promised to put extra oil in car so if this happened again, oil could be put in, no oil was in car. Everyone associated with Kia in this case has consistently been inconsistent not fulfilling promises made, plus me and my family just continued to be in convenience by Kia. Demanding a 1000 mileage a month oil consumption test during a pandemic when I work in North Vegas before service is ridulous, unrealistic, and unsafe. Transparency and assistance would be appreciated, but due to Kia's prior action and incompetence, I'm not hopeful. When calling, usually businesses leave a voice-mail, I have no such record from you. The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated while stopping at a red light the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there was no oil in the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 110,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V519000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, while driving 25 MPH and attempting to make a U-turn, the vehicle stalled inadvertently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact pushed the vehicle to the side of the road with the assistance of a bystander. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The dealer sent a claim to the manufacturer and was awaiting a response. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

After about 59,000 miles I noticed that the paint on my vehicle began to bubble and chip then rapidly began peeling off. Over the years this has gotten progressively worse and has now moved to different parts of the vehicle. I have included images of the vehicle and all of the locations it is peeling. I also included an image of water pooling between the paint and vehicle. This is a great concern as my vehicle is still is continuing to peel and the entire paint job is now compromised and leading to rust and damage to the body. The various parts of the vehicle that are peeling are the roof, the driver and passenger sides above the windows, as well as now the diver's side fender. Pretty soon my entire vehicle is no longer going to be white but rather be rust colored. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed as this is not normal for a vehicle's paint to peel this quickly and in giant pieces.

CHECK THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT If this occurs, Kia’s system is designed to illuminate the airbag warning light on the instrument panel to alert you of a potential problem with your airbag system so that you can have the system inspected and repaired as soon as possible. The passenger’s front airbag is a ‘low risk deployment’ airbag that complies with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208, meaning it has a reduced deployment strength for occupants in close proximity to the air bag. Despite being a low risk deployment airbag, if the airbag warning light is illuminated and the vehicle continues to be driven without being repaired, the front passenger airbag will deploy in a frontal impact regardless of whether the seat is occupied or not.

I have to replace the low beam and high beam bulbs several times a year. The low beams are SO dim, I can’t even tell if they are on- forcing me to drive with my bright lights on all the time. The bulbs blow all the time- I have driven without low beams and not none they were blown. The lights are now constantly flickering while driving. Very dangerous.

2014 sorento- exterior lights very dim. Dangerous and hard to see they go out weirdly often and randomly. replaced lights and driver side turn signals now not working or the led strip lash out as well. Pearl white paint is chipping/peeling on hood and pillars. Emailed kia support have not heard anything back.

1. My headlights tends to keep going out, I’ve replaced them 3 times since getting the vehicle. The most recent change was a month ago. Also my car keeps making this weird humming/ purring sound which started 3months ago and is very unsettling. I had to get a new engine last February after my car cut off on me and the kids heading to my family out of town.

My paint has been peeling off my car the year after I got it an iwas told to contact Kia by one of my coworkers when I worked for Kia and was told because I own my car I have to pay for it out of pocket and that is not right. It is a defective paint job done on all pearl white kia's. All the paint peels down to primer and they tried to tell me it was from rocks or pebbles and that is false as well it is with all kia's and it needs to be fixed asap.

While pulling into my driveway, my car completely died. Shut off and steering wheel stiffened. Was able to restart it and it presented a check engine light and a knocking noise. Took it to Kia dealership and was told the engine needed to be replaced. I was quoted $15,000 for a new engine/9,000 for used. This repair is not covered in the Kia engine settlement. Vehicle is up to date on maintenance and have proof of prior maintenance. Car was brought into a mechanic within days of the knocking noise and check engine light and now it is not drive-able for fear of engine fire or explosion.

ENGINE
For several months I have been adding 1 quart of oil to my 2014 sorento bi-weekly there is no evidence of an external leak, residue or smoke coming out exhaust. When I don’t add the oil the car stalls, shutters and makes sound during acceleration. I have taken in to dealership but they could not see any issues.
