SummaryTSB: SERVICE ACTION: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (SA176) - THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES INFORMATION RELATED TO A SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (SEE AFFECTED CLUSTER TYPE BELOW) OF SOME 2015MY SEDONA (YP) VEHICLES (L AND LX TRIM LEVELS), PRODUCED FROM AUGUST 11, 2014 THROUGH NOVEMBER 8, 2014, WHICH MAY EXHIBIT A PARASITIC DRAW OF UP TO 200-250 MILLIAMPS (MA), WHEN THE MAIN FUSE BOX SWITCH IS SET TO ON, IN KEY OFF/DOORS LOCKED CONDITION. AS A RESULT, THE ELECTRONIC MODULES MAY NOT ENTER SLEEP MODE AND CAUSE THE BATTERY TO BE DRAINED, AFTER A FEW DAYS. TO PREVENT AND/OR CORRECT THIS CONDITION, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHOULD BE REPROGRAMMED USING THE GDS DOWNLOAD, AS DESCRIBED IN THIS BULLETIN. KIA IS REQUESTING THE COMPLETION OF THIS SERVICE ACTION ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES, INCLUDING DEALER STOCK, PRIOR TO DELIVERY. FILLER FOAM PAD INSTALLATION - When replacing the OE battery on 2015MY Sedona (YP) (L, LX and EX trim levels ONLY), the replacement battery (P/N 37110 24001U) height is slightly different than the OE battery. A filler foam pad (P/N A9087 ADU00) will be necessary to close the gap between the battery top and upper L bracket of the hold down clamp. Follow the procedure outlined in this article to install the pad.
