A recall notice (NHTSA recall # 23V652) was issued on 14Nov23 where the HECU may experience an electrical short circuit, which in turn can result in a car fire. To this date, the remedy part is not available. If I'm not mistaken, car fires can be a serious issue, therefore, I am reporting the delay in availability of this part. I also want to inform you that the telephone number referenced on this website and the recall notice to file a complaint (888-327-4236) is invalid and that this website and number should be updated with the correct phone number.

a few months last year took my car in for regular oil change and within about 3 weeks after the oil change the car was out of oil from the point had to start adding oil once a month and then more recently the car just would stop oil would be practically empty have to jump the car recently the car just started smoking and almost stopped on the highway I never saw where the oil was leaking from looked it up and the exact same engine in Hyundai cars was recalled

Hi [XXX] My Kia Rio 2023 S vin number is [XXX] . Bought a couple months back new at Summit Place Kia Auburn Hills michigan. Once I drive off I realised the steering wheel alignment is off. The car does not drive straight when steering wheel is straight. I called my salesman and he asked me to bring it in for servicing at Summit Place. They did a wheel alignment there and found misalignment at factory condition. A few months later the same issue got worse and was noticeable again when driving. I called my salesman and he told me bringing it into service will incur a service charge as this issue is not under warranty. However, I believe this constant misalignment is from a manufacturing defect causing safety issue and you could access the servicing records that said the wheel alignment was already off at the first emergency servicing. I have also made sure all my tire pressures are topped up to the recommended pressures Kindly advise and rectify this road safety issue. Was told that my car was consuming too much oil and I’ve been doing oil consumption test for the past year I even did the chemical that was run through my motor which I had to pay for and it was over $800 I feel like they’re giving me the runaround one of the employees at Dick Hanna Kia also told me at one point that I could actually replace the motor myself but my car is still under warranty at 92,000 miles. I just want it resolved either they replaced my motor or do something I have two more oil consumption test and then at that point they will send the information to Dick Hanna Kia dealerships or wherever they send it and then tell me what to do next actually getting frustrated. I have to go every 1000 miles and it takes time out of my day to do this.

My car had been broken into and was attempted to be stolen on December 22, 2022. A few months ago, a neighbor left a note on my car stating that someone was looking through the windows suspiciously. Today, December 12, 2023, my car was stolen from a paid for parking garage at my apartment complex with no cameras. The issue should have been resolved considering my boyfriend and co-owner of the vehicle went to the Kia dealership on November 28, 2023 to have the "anti-theft software update" installed. Apparently, this doesn't work as my car was stolen even with the "alert" sticker on the window.

For the past year and few months I’ve been having to do an oil change every two weeks because of how fast the engine is burning the oil. Several times I arrive to the shop to find the oil pan is completely empty causing issues with my engine beginning to make strange noises that are concerning. The dash light does not come on to notify me that there is no oil. I’m sure the damage is severe because I have had the check engine light come on a couple times and having to fix it because of this. Other Kia drivers have had this issue with other models, including this one.
