23V651000 This recall came out in September it has now been 8 months and no remedy has been avaible which to me is not a timely manner, it is getting costly for me to not park near buildings where I normally park or in garages, starting to have to do that and just hope that my car does not catch fire, this is getting ridicules

I received a notice of the recall for the trunk latch function for my 2016 Hyundai elantra. I had to pay $450 out of pocket for this exact same problem in October 2022 and I want a refund. I was parked and went to open the trunk. Not only did the latch not work but also the trunk wouldn't close.

March 26, 2024 Hello; Re: 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring VIN# [XXX] On [XXX], I while driving on a very icy slippery road to do low temperatures and the city not salting the roads like they should have! I was going approximately 22 mph & somehow I lost control of my car & slammed into a light pole & the whole entire front end of my car was destroyed! Meanwhile, none of the airbags deployed & I slammed into the steering wheel! I had my seatbelt on & it immediately locked up on me & someone had to cut me out of the seatbelt! I was transported to the hospital emergency, while my car was towed to "E. End Auto" @ 64 10th Ave. Dickinson, ND I suffered severe injuries such as back & neck injuries, 4 bruised ribs & horribly severe bruises to my left eye & scars! As soon as I possibly could I contacted "E End Auto" to find out what to do next & they informed me that the tow charges were approximately $700 & that was less than a 2-mile tow! Additionally each day the car sat in their storage lot it was $75 per day! It took me a few days to get a ride to get to my car due to pain and suffering, which I'm still experiencing terribly!! So, by the time I got to my car it had been there approximately 3 to 4 days & my bill was over $1,000! I spoke with the owner & pleaded & begged him if he could possibly offer me something for my car since it was obviously totaled out! He said absolutely no & that if I gave him the title to my car he would zero out the bill! So unfortunately hesitantly I had no choice, so I signed over the title! This business used to take vehicles that were wrecked & part them out. Unfortunately, they do not do that any longer & my car would soon be transferred to the salvage yard & be crushed! I don't understand what could have happened! I'm asking with all due respect and consideration if this matter can be looked into please?! Thank You INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Some bad guys tried to steal my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. They broke the ignition from the steering column to gain access and try to start the vehicle. This is the same issue that still happening after 3 years from the Kia/hyundai boys ticktock hack. The federal gov need to intervine. This a very concerning safety issue. The cars are getting to easy to steal. We as consumers can do as much we can, but has been very difficult. It’s not fare for all us to paid for cost related to this issue (cars without immobilizer) like Hyundai and Kia’s. This 2 company’s should paid and respond to the gov and the customers for their fatal flaw in designing this cars.

Hyundai put out a recall on Sep 22, 2023 and nothing has been done to fix the issue. Every day I get into my car to drive I am scared & terrified that the car will catch fire while I am in it and not only injure me, my child, or other passengers, but potentially other drivers on the road. I am also afraid to park anywhere due to the risk of the car catching fire. My car is my lifeline and I cannot afford to get another car. My workplace only has a parking garage, so I have no other place to park, so now everyday my car could potentially cause structural damages in the garage and other cars could be damaged. I don't want to be on the highway and not have time to get out of the car safely. If Hyundai knows there is a potential FIRE threat, every single car should be pulled off the road and replaced or fixed immediately. Not everyone will know what a fire smells like or if something malfunctions in the electrical system due to the fire/smoke, how will passengers be alerted to immediately pull over and leave the car. This recall sounds extremely urgent. Hyundai needs to be forced to fix all of the issues. Waiting 6 months already with these dangerous cars on the road is irresponsible and can potentially cause a lot of trauma to people, such as myself. Leaking brakes should be considered a high priority and I do not understand why it is not being looked at that way. Hyundai is putting so many lives in danger on the road and its inexcusable.

I just know that my vehicle has a high use of engine oil. I took it to the dealer about a year and half ago to have it checked but they said that was normal but the more I read up on this it sounds like it is not normal. Also the clear over spray paint on all 4 door handles has come off and the rear hatch top window spoiler has completely peeled off also.

I had my steering wheel telescope out and tilted up when driving down highway I had to hit my brakes Because of the car in front of me hitting his as I did so my steering wheel collapsed inward And down We'll do an approximately 45 miles an hour on the freeway. This could have caused me to lose control of the vehicle. And cause major injuries to others and was locked in positiand should have not been able to push in without it being unlocked.

The positive battery terminal melted from an electrical issue and cannot be fixed due to the model and year of my car. The whole car has fully died and is not functional. My car is available for inspection. The car has only been inspected by a mechanic. The car would have trouble starting and staying on for the last 2 months or so and right before it died it was showing the steering wheel light for 2 days and then all the lights were blinking.

A safety recall has been issued since September 2023 and still no remedy. The car should not be driven because it could catch fire. There is no time frame for the remedy. What am I suppose to do about transportation now it’s been 6mos I’ve had to borrow a vehicle.

The car randomly dies on de-acceleration. It gives no warning and I have seen online this is a known issue with this year/model. I have 55,000 miles on it, it's been regularly serviced. When I got to slow down then start to accelerate it shuts off. I've nearly been hit multiple times going to merge from a stop. It's very dangerous. I've replaced all 4 spark plugs, all 4 ignition coils, air filter, cabin filter, oil filter, PCV valve and I've only owned it 6 months. No engine light comes on and no reader is picking up any codes. I'm at a loss as to what causes this.
