Several warning lights came on. No collision or glass damage occured. Took it to the dealer. DIAGNOSIS was CODE U3000-49 "multipurpose camera unit/millimeter wave radar internal electric failure due to heat. They said fix it would be $2237.49. However, they said they could not fix it then because the part is back ordered. Due to so many cars with this problem. I went online and see other 2019 hr-v owners having the same issue.

2018 Honda HRV EX AWD premature CVT transmission failure at 68,314 miles. Problem diagnosed and confirmed by an independent mechanic on July 10th and by a Honda Dealership on July15th. I had to pay the Honda dealership to replace the transmission. I do not know where the old transmission was sent or if it was inspected, could contact Honda Dealership for further information. Safety of myself, passengers and other vehicles were at risk due to sluggish excelaration, jerky movements and at times unable to get the vehicle to move at all. These actions could have caused a rear end crash, front end crash or side crashes due to other vehicles not knowing what was happening. I did not have the control or the ability to move the vehicle off the road. July 3, 2025 dash lights unexpedtedly came on with no prior warning. Dashboard lights were a yellow P(parking) with an exclamation point, Red PARK light, yellow brake system light and a yellow check engine light. All lights led me to believe there was a problem with the braking system or the emergency brake was engaged. No lights indicating a transmission problem.

My 2017 Honda HR-V in White Orchid Pearl (NH-788P) has severe paint peeling on multiple panels (hood, roof, door). Honda issued Service Bulletin 19-064 covering this exact defect. However, I have been informed by Honda customer service and Honda dealers that my vehicle is no longer covered because it is 1 year beyond the 7-year extension period, even though the defect matches the exact conditions described in the bulletin. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not normal wear. A consumer fairness concern, as the defect appears years before what should be the normal paint life of a vehicle. A potential safety concern, since exposed bare metal can lead to rust and structural weakening. I suggest an investigation into whether Honda should expand the paint defect warranty to include affected vehicles beyond the 7-year cutoff. As I believe paint on those defect vehicles don’t usually start peeling until about 7 year old or later and once they start to peel, they peel rapidly. I have attached photos of the peeling paint for your reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

AC System Failed. AC Will Not Turn On, Changed All Fuses Related To AC Related Issues, Still Wont Blow At All. Maybe Blower Motor Or Resistor Which Should Not Be Broken After Just 1 Year.

The paint on the roof of my Honda HR-V is chipping and peeling. The problem appeared suddenly and has continued to spread. The rest of the vehicle’s paint remains intact, so this seems to be a defect in the roof paint or clear coat. While it does not trigger warning lights, the exposed areas put the vehicle at risk of rust and corrosion, which may affect safety and durability over time. The damage is visible and the roof is available for inspection upon request.

I bought my car used when it had around 11,000 miles on it. It didn't take long (maybe a month) before I noticed that the fuel gauge indicator above the steering wheel was malfunctioning. The screen stays off for a period of time and sometimes flickers on with indistinguishable text. There are times that it works just fine, but it is becoming less and less common. At first, I thought it was attributed to the cold weather, but it also happens in the heat. I recently had a separate recall repaired and asked the mechanic about this issue. He stated that several people had told him the same story and he said I would have to replace the entire gauge cluster to fix it. This is very unfortunate because I am someone who travels often and I can't be stuck in the middle of nowhere without gas because I was unable to determine how much I had. There should be another way to monitor how much gas you have. I can't see how much oil life I have left either, or the mileage on my car when the screen goes out. My car was at low mileage when I bought it, and it still only has around 30,000 miles on it so I do not understand why this issue is happening.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a defect in my 2018 Honda HR-V, specifically with the White Orchid Pearl paint (paint code NH-788P). This issue appears to be widespread, as evidenced by a previous warranty extension issued by Honda in 2019 and ongoing class action lawsuits related to paint delamination on affected models. I purchased a 2018 Honda HR-V in June 2020, unaware of any pre-existing paint defects. Recently, I have noticed significant peeling of the paint on the roof in four distinct places. The affected paint is the White Orchid Pearl color with code NH-788P, which matches the vehicles covered under Honda's 2019 warranty extension for paint delamination issues. This extension was issued following reports of the clear coat and paint layers separating, leading to peeling, flaking, and exposure of the underlying primer or metal. This defect is not due to any fault of my own, such as improper maintenance or environmental damage beyond normal use. The vehicle has been garaged and maintained according to Honda's recommendations. Despite this, the paint failure has resulted in an estimated devaluation of my vehicle by up to $5,000, based on comparable market values for similar models without this issue. I have no recourse through Honda, leaving me with significant financial loss and a vehicle that is aesthetically compromised and potentially prone to further deterioration, such as rust if the peeling exposes metal. While paint peeling may not immediately present as a safety hazard, it could lead to other issues and Honda should be accountable for their vehicles. I request that NHTSA investigate this matter, review the existing warranty extension and TSB, and consider mandating a recall or further extension to cover repairs for affected owners like myself. Please contact me at [XXX] or [XXX] for any additional information.. Thank you for your attention to this complaint. I look forward to your response. My daughters 2016 Honda HRV (59k) has continual electrical issues. First it's the battery sensor $617. Then the keyless access control module $1100 but given a discount. Something is also wrong with the heated seat it burned a hole in the seat. Honda says it's 10 years old it's gonna start falling apart. Numerous complaints online with all of the electrical issues mentioned and the service manager says Honda doesn't have to issue recalls until there's class action lawsuit filed for vehicles. All of this stuff has happened in the last 8 months.

The contact purchased a 2018 Honda HR-V for his daughter. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle started losing motive power. The driver became aware of several unknown warning lights illuminated before the vehicle unintendedly decelerated to 15 MPH. The driver was able to pull over and stop the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to a mechanic. The contact stated that the mechanic advised that there was a known issue with the CVT transmission and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that there were metal shavings found inside the transmission fluid. The contact called the manufacturer about a warranty coverage program for the CVT transmission. The contact was advised that his daughter's vehicle was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified about the failure and filed a case for the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

The car is a 2016 Honda HRV. The car is orchid pearl (white) and has developed extensive paint issues where the paint is peeling on the doors and potentially places on the roof. The car is an excellent overall condition with no history of auto accidents. This paint issue is common for this color HRV and impacts the value of the vehicle and will lead to body surface rust and the problem continues to worsen each month.

While driving on a highway the vehicle with no warning seemed to lose all power and multiple warning dashboard lights came on. We were able to pull to the side of the highway which did not have a full size break down lane. The vehicle was towed to a nearby dealer who reported that the transmission had failed completely. There were no noticeable signs or warnings of transmission failure or any other problem prior to this incident with the vehicle. We were on a single lane highway at the time and we were able to pull to the side but on the same trip had been on multiple lane highways and it would have been difficult to navigate multiple lanes to pull to the side of the road with the loss of power.
