The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle was jerking and driving roughly. The contact stated that the odor of burning metal was present inside the cabin of the vehicle, and the messages "Service ESC and Traction Control" were displayed. The contact was able the slowly drive the vehicle back to the residence, and later the vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who discovered metal shavings inside the engine oil. The contact stated that the fuel injectors and carburetor were replaced, but the failure was not resolved. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 25,734.

Engine was replaced 11/24 Found toe bar loose and rear passenger tire had excessive slack in it, well liners were broken off and missing 2/25 Oil loss and had to have oil changed early 4/21 Start button will not engage, truck is completely blacked out, no power to it for several minutes then it will crank. Been in the shop as of now 3 times in the month of May 2025

POWER TRAIN
My 2017 GMC Yukon SLT,, has been having shifting problems, including hard or delayed shifts, clunking, jerking, and even sudden jolts when downshifting.Rough or jerky shifts, particularly during acceleration and deceleration, a delay in engaging gears, especially when shifting from park to drive or reverse. Transmission shifts are very rough in slow traffic with as much as one to two-second delays in shifting into gear with a loud thump. It is so rough that it feels like someone may have ran into your back bumper. It is also bad enough that it startles the driver, and it could be a safety issue

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH and passing another vehicle, the vehicle stalled. The contact noticed that the vehicle had unexpectedly shifted into neutral. The vehicle was coasted to the nearest parking lot and stopped. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had seized. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE, SUSPENSION
[XXX] Please call me to discuss this matter on my GMC Vehicle. [XXX] Yukon GMC This might not be your department but lead me to the right area local, federally or NHTSA so I can discuss these issues in detail Issues I have had that are not normal and maybe need to be on a recall or on consumer alert list for major defects on major components Brakes losing total traction had to be fixed unannounced (recall) Rear Tail lights giving up , had to be replace (Recall) AC system failing had to be replaced Paint completely fading on hood prematurely Transmission failure, had to be overhauled Engine Failure with need of Lifters All the above high cost to fix and having no vehicle in the interim . These issues have been during the warranty and now out of warranty. Other cars do not have these many issues. When i get in my truck to leave after my truck is parked for awhile, and take off after i stop i get a rattling which sounds like its coming from the engine. I brought my truck into the dealship when i noticed the probelm but of course the techs " couldnt hear it". I hear it everyday since!

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The vehicle main information cluster randomly goes in and out and now has completely stopped working. This is the information display that shows Park, Nuetral, Drive, Reverse, Fuel gauge, digital MPH and other information such as oil tire pressure, turn signals, forward collision. Just knowing if the vehicle is in Park Reverse or Drive is a huge saftey issue. This seems to be a common problem on GM vehicles and i wcan't seem to find a recall issued for the saftey factor that the vehicle can be assumed to be in Park and it's actually in Reverse. The first time I noticed this problem was Sept. 05, 2020 but it had reset when I restarted the vehicle. The problem would resurface occasionally but always came back on when restarting the vehicle. But know it seems that restarting the vehicle is not fixing the problem and the screen has been blank for the last 3 days.

Started my 2015 Yukon XL, drove approximately 6 miles to get gas and was to head out onto the highway. After gassing up and starting engine it began to idle very rough with a shake going on and ticking noise. No previous signs of any issues. Slowly drove back to my house at 20 miles an hour and called Mandal GMC dealership. They suggested having it towed to them for inspection. Upon inspection they said the AFM/DOD #1 exhaust lifter was bad and needed replaced. They replaced all of Bank one lifters and said their was no damage to camshaft. Drove it that night after repairing it and everything seemed fine. They called the next morning and said when they started it up the ticking was back again. They then supposedly took off head cover and inspected the camshaft again and said it was damaged and I would need a new engine to the tune of $18,000.00. I purchase it in 2021 from them use and paid $33,000.00 and now still owe even more than the engine repair. I said it would cost more than the vehicle was worth and they had done $4,000.00 of repair that didn’t even get the issue fixed. I am a senior on Social Security and can not afford to continue to pay 20,000.00 for the loan and then another $18,000.00 for a faulty engine design that caused the problem in the first place. May have to join the thousands of others in the class action to get GM to not put out such untrustworthy engineering. Now $37,000.00 piece of Yard Sculpture !! The morning that it occurred was the first sign of flashing engine warning on dash.

I am having an oil burning issue in my 2021 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2L engine and understand that some Yukon's have been recalled for this, but not all. GMC directed me here. My check engine light went on last week and when it was plugged in it showed critical oil life despite being well below my next scheduled oil change (which has also resulted in me having a Rejected state inspection sticker due to this being in the computer at time of inspection). I am concerned that not all Yukons have been recalled but I'm clearly having the same issue as others as this is only a 4 year old vehicle and otherwise in very good condition. This would be available for inspection by you at any time. Also, this issue has been confirmed with the dealer but my VIN is not part of the current recall. Is there a way to get this VIN added to the recall for further inspection/resolution at GM?

The Yukon was driving normally and just lost power while driving 55mph on the highway. Then I got off the highway to pull over and check it out and the Yukon started shaking while running and in Park. The truck would not drive over 30mph without shaking and what sounds like misfiring.
