There have been numerous issues with our brand new 2026 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack 24-15 toyhauler. Few weeks after the purchase the aluminum side skirt started to peel away from the body of the trailer, submitted for warranty. Went to de-winterize, coolant leaked all over the kitchen floor area, plumbing not connected, submitted for warranty. Back-up camera which was suppose to come with a monitor, did not and has not worked, submitted to warranty. Trim coming off in the bedroom and missing in the kitchen area behind the "Wolf Pack" sign, submitted for warranty. Soft spot in the floor of kitchen (panel not properly secured, found out today [XXX]), submitted to warranty. Linoleum by the floor tie-downs coming up, submitted for warranty. Water tank leaked out 2/3 of our fresh water on the only camping trip we took. Only had one camping trip since we purcahsed in March 2026. Found out, skirting was replaced under warranty after Bish's RV in Meridian had to fight for us on the full replacement on both sides. Water tank needs a loop in the vent line since the anti-siphon is not working. Biggest worry of all is what the tech found, and I will quote on the work order: "Tie Down Gussets Missing all Nuts to Secure body to Trailer" The manufacturer "FOREST RIVER" did not have any nuts securing the body of the trailer to the frame. This could have KILLED my whole family!!!!!!!!!! Tech ended with "WOW factor" INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am the original owner of a 2021 Forest River Wolf Pack 325PACK13 fifth-wheel trailer (VIN: [XXX]), purchased new on [XXX]. The trailer is built on a Lippert Components chassis manufactured in September 2020. My trailer developed multiple structural cracks in the front overhang/pin box area of the frame. This is not a single crack. The damage includes multiple cracks in the steel chassis, separation between the fiberglass front cap and the trailer body, gaps between structural members beneath the floor, and movement throughout the front of the trailer. Because the pin box transfers all towing forces into the frame, I considered the trailer unsafe to tow and immediately removed it from service. This is a structural failure involving the primary load-bearing chassis, not cosmetic damage. I am concerned this defect could affect towing stability, structural integrity, and increase the risk of failure during highway travel. The trailer has remained at an authorized repair facility for approximately four months awaiting repairs. During that time, I have repeatedly contacted Forest River for updates, often daily, but have received virtually no meaningful communication. My calls have routinely gone unanswered or unreturned, and the repair facility has also struggled to obtain responses, significantly delaying repairs. I am concerned this may represent a broader safety issue affecting other Forest River trailers built on similar Lippert chassis. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether these structural frame failures are occurring in other units and determine whether a safety-related defect exists that warrants corrective action. I have photographs documenting the multiple frame cracks, structural separation, repair records, warranty documentation, and communication records and will provide them upon request. Flex frame is failing: the front structural rv moves noticeable when pin box is pushed, which is leading to interior cracking and wall separation. Issues was not resolved with resolution fox in 2025. The flex Fram is still failing and Forrest River jas no resolution.

Tire exploded during highway use creating a hazard to everyone near by. This is the second time this brand exploded on this trailer, same brand, same tire, different batches. There also also hundreds of complaints online on these tires. Pressure was checked that same morning and was not used above 75mph

Tire size was ST 205 / 75 R 15. This tire experienced a significant belt separation failure that I fortunately noticed before departing our campsite. While doing a walk around inspection before departure, I noticed a severe tread deformity in the front passenger side tire on our camper. The tires were cold and the ambient air temperature was in the low 60's. Before removing the tire and wheel from the trailer, I checked the tire pressure on all 4 tires, and all were within 2 psi of the recommended 65 psi cold pressure, including the failing tire. I removed the wheel and tire assembly and deflated it for safety, and then took it to a local tires shop to replace the tire. They diagnosed it as belt separation and further stated that it would have likely failed with a blowout within a few miles if I hadn't caught it. The tire had an estimated 15,000 miles on it at the time, but had been professionally repaired for a screw puncture approximately 7,000 miles earlier.

The contact owned a 2022 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack RV. The contact stated that the battery of the RV was frequently drained by the refrigerator. The contact stated the generator of the RV was turned on, and while the Xbox of the contact's son, the refrigerator and other devices were plugged in, the contact noticed an abnormal burning odor. The contact exited the RV and noticed that the pizza box in front of the generator had caught on fire. The contact ran to the cargo residence that was 20 ft. away and informed her children that a fire had started. The contact stated that upon returning with a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, the contact noticed that the fire had extended to the fiberglass in front of the RV, and the front of the RV had caught on fire. The contact advised her children to run because the fire had extended to the propane tank, and the RV was about to explode. The contact and her children ran as far away as they could, and the contact heard explosions coming from the RV. The contact stated that the entire RV caught on fire. The fire extended and burned the contact's cargo residence that was located 20 ft. away. The fire burned and killed the contact's cats. The contact's convertible vehicle, boat, two four-wheeler UTVs, the truck of contact's son's truck, and a golf cart either melted or sustained heat damage due to the fire. The contact stated that storages located 40 ft. away from the RV and containing furniture, appliances, and clothes were damaged. The fire was extinguished by the fire department, and a fire department report was filed. It was unknown whether a police report was filed. There was no physical injury sustained, but the contact and her children sustained mental and emotional trauma. The RV was a total loss and remained at the scene. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

- #11685770September 8, 2025STRUCTURE, TRAILER HITCHES
The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Cherokee Toy Hauler. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the frame was flexing at the RV pin box location. The contact stated that while unhitching the trailer, the contact noticed that there was weld separation on the left and right sides of the tow hitch outer frame. Additionally, the contact stated that the cargo door holding the propane tank was opening unintendedly while driving. The trailer was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with spring damage, and the contact was informed that the cargo door that held the propane tank was opening unintendedly because the frame was flexing at the RV pin box location. The Lippert manufacturer that installed the frame was contacted and advised the contact to send pictures of the failure. The manufacturer, Forest River, was notified of the failure and advised the contact to apply gel in the weld gaps. The trailer was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

ST 225/75R15 One driver side tire blew in May/2025 which caused extensive damage to the RV floor and sidewall. I replaced and did not file a claim. My family was in the tow vehicle when the blowout occurred. Debris was thrown across the highway and I had no room on the side of the highway to change the tire. Police called. Yesterday July 14/2025, the spare tire blew up all on its own while at a campground. It was on the back of the camper not being used. The spare tire cover was destroyed. Neighbors thought a propane tank exploded. Anybody walking by could have been seriously injured. I did a search and found a recall for these tires.

When I bought this camper I paid extra for an extensive warranty including the tires. On a recent trip I blew a tire on the trailer and contacted the warranty company. Was instructed to take the trailer and tire to an authorized service center. Upon doing so the service center notified me that the axles were bent because they were insufficient for the size of the trailer. The gentleman I spoke with said that regardless of what the tags read on the camper the axles were not sufficient for the load rating listed on the tag inside the camper. Thus they put excessive strain on the tires and one blew while I was traveling on the highway. He told me another one was ready to blow out. I reached out to the RV dealership where I bought the trailer and they referred me to the trailer manufacturer who denied any responsibility and claimed that the axles were sufficient for that trailer. This is a recurring issue with these travel trailers as I have friends who have the same models and one has already had to replace his axles because they bent and a tire blew out and damaged the side of his camper and the other one changed his tires and springs to help offset the weight issue. I even reached out to the axle manufacturer who supplied these components to the RV company and all they provided was this measurements I needed to order new axles. All I wanted from the RV manufacturer was even a pittance of an offer to help me with this issue but all they did was claim that all the parts were good and they weren't responsible. I have ordered new heavier duty axles and larger tires to accommodate the weight. As I stated the RV repair center that is working on my trailer said the axles were insufficient and the tires were actually too small for a trailer that size. Apparently the only way an RV company will do the right thing is if they are threatened with a lawsuit. Forest River has already been implicated in a lawsuit for other issues. So they are aware that they have issues!

The slide mechanism and gear rack are out of spec per their manufacturer of the component (schwintek inverted gear rack). On my unit the “shoe” part of the rack has failed (possibly because of improper installation) and I am afraid that if the slide is not secured by the gear rack that it could slip out while the vehicle is in motion. Lippert does have a TSB for this, but apparently doesn’t apply to my date range. Lippert TSB is 146-001-2022. Forest river tells me “this can happen over time from usage.” Lippert (schwintek mfg) says: “The concern appears to stem from an out-of-spec installation. We recommend reaching out to the coach manufacturer, as they may participate in resolving the issue” Neither company appear to be concerned for safety

slide out was activated but only left hand side moved right side was bound up. The guide came apart on the right side h column and completely bound it up. It took 3 people to assist me at the campsite to force the one side back in so I could get it home without obstructing traffic. This was an end of season purchase we only used the camper on 1 trip, I calculated that we have used the slide out on this new RV a total of 13 times always following the instruction on opening and closing it. That seems like very low usage for wear and tear to be a factor. Additionally this slide out system was recalled on similar 2022 RVs for this exact issue. The recall need to be expanded to all manufacturers that these defective parts were installed. This is a parts quality issue and lippert is aware of it. I was told that it was not covered and paid to have this fixed myself, while trying to address this issue with lippert they told me they need a sticker off the old part, when I picked up the unit the service department told me they did not keep the old parts. Lippert has told me I’m out of luck because of that. Please consider investigating just how many units and consumer were truly affected due to lipperts negligence.

Driver's side rear: Blew out while at Shaw RV while they were moving it between lots. When I went to pick up the trailer on August 28th, I saw the blown out tire on the spare rack and the spare mounted in its place. Picture below shows the tire blown out. This tire was replaced at Discount Tire in Wake Forest, NC. Passenger side front: We were traveling and arrived at the RV park on Sunday, [XXX]. While placing the chock, I spotted steel belt material visible (picture below). I changed the tire. Monday,[XXX] I drove to get a replacement. Passenger side rear: After mounting the new tire, I decided to check the other two tires. I noticed a bubble forming on the passenger side rear tire. I removed that and the driver's side rear tire and took them to be replaced, also on [XXX]. (no pictures of those two). The three tires were replaced at Discount Tire in Alcoa, TN. While there was no blowout, it would not have been too many more miles before there would have been one, which would have been at highway speeds. All tires were properly inflated and I do have a TPMS system installed. No alerts were displayed. I was not there for the first tire failure. My practice is to drive at no more than 60 mph with occasional speeds of no more than 65 mph on downhill stretches so speed should not have been an issue. There was no road hazard damage. I purchased Goodyear Endurance tires to replace the Castle Rock tires except for the spare. It will be replaced soon, before our next trip. Front entry door opens while driving down the road. I have started deadbolt locking it. Lucky the hand rail folded in has caught the door from swinging out. Still could be dangerous for other drivers if something inside falls out of the RV.
