SummarySome 2019-2022 Transit vehicles may experience intermittent operation of the power sliding door (PSD) which may not open/close properly. It can still be closed manually. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U201A may or may not be present. The PSD may partially actuate with each press of the remote, dash button, or door handle actuation. Check and adjust the door strikers/hinges as needed per the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03 > General Procedures. If sliding door adjustments do not resolve the concern, the problem is likely related to the latch. If necessary, replace the latch and reassess before considering other actions. Engineering is aware of the issue and is currently investigating. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates.

Summary2015-2022 Transit vehicles equipped with DRW have a high mount rear marker lamp that does not illuminate with the stop lamps. This lamp assembly may appear to be a stop lamp but is intended to illuminate with the parking lamps only. This information is available in Workshop Manual Section 417-01. The JDDAB feature code description, found under OASIS additional information, is common between single rear wheel and DRW vehicles, and incorrectly reflects stop functionality when applied to DRW units.

SummarySome 2015-2021 Transit vehicles equipped with rear wheel drive (RWD), single rear wheel only, and a U-joint at the transmission flange and rear driveshaft may experience a boom/hum/moan noise or vibration from the rear while driving. This noise or vibration is most prevalent at highway speeds: 112-121 km/h (70-75 mph) for 4.10 axle ratio, 121-128 km/h (75-80 mph) for 3.73 axle ratio, 136-145 km/h (85-90 mph) for 3.31 axle ratio. The noise or vibration may also be present to a lesser degree at roughly half of those speeds. This may be due to a 2nd order driveline frequency transmitted through the rear driveshaft, rear axle and into the body through the leaf springs. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to install a driveshaft torsional damper.

Summary2021-2022 various Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit an erroneous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1A01:93 stored in the telematics control unit (TCU). This may be due to various software parameters within the TCU. If this DTC is identified during normal diagnostics, but the vehicle does not exhibit any customer concerns around the TCU operation, clear this DTC and no further repairs are recommended. If the DTC returns after being cleared or if the vehicle exhibits connectivity concerns with the TCU, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics. If set erroneously, this DTC does not cause any observable concerns or warning messages and does not affect vehicle performance or durability. Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) TCU update in July 2022 to prevent this DTC from setting erroneously.

If diagnostics lead to retractor replacement, inspect for drill or screw holes in the retractor housing. Damage to the seat belt retractor caused by a vehicle modifier is not warrantable.

SummaryCertain 2020-2021 Model Year Transit Vehicles Equipped with 3.5L PFDI Engines Inactive Smart Acceleration Truncation Feature In all of the affected vehicles, the Smart Acceleration Truncation (SAT) feature is non-functional. The SAT feature is intended to provide common performance for an empty vehicle as would be expected for a fully loaded vehicle. The feature restricts the acceleration capability for empty vehicles where drivers utilize significant accelerator pedal input. When the SAT feature is non-functional, drivers who reach elevated torque/acceleration rates will not see the desired torque de-rate that the feature is expected to deliver.
