FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The fuel tanked cracked. It was no longer able to hold vacuum. The engine light came on and stayed on. The 2.3L mustang had a similar issue due to heat. It was inspected and fix at a local repair shop.

POWER TRAIN, POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE)
The welds on the top of the clutch pedal at the pivot point were insufficient from the factory and failed. I was having issues operating the clutch and after doing some research found that this is a common issue and was never covered under any factory warranty. I did not have this inspected at a dealer because I knew it would not be covered. I was able to remove the pedal assembly and repair it and added additional welds myself. I think this is a huge safety concern due to the possibility of the clutch pedal cracking completely and coming loose, which could cause the vehicle to unexpectedly engage the clutch and run someone over or cause a collision. I have photos of the damaged components. It took me a total of 8 hours to complete the repairs. I am also concerned about the quality of the steel used to construct the pedal as it may be too brittle. The OEM should re-design this part and update their manufacturing & welding proceedures.

BACK OVER PREVENTION
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that he received the recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) four years ago. The contact stated that every time he scheduled the appointment to have the recall repair completed at the dealer, it was informed that the part was not available to complete the repair. The contact stated that while he was driving in reverse mode, he noticed the back-over prevention camera was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed again that the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the dealer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000. Parts distribution disconnect

The little rubber pad that it attached to the brake pedal disintegrated. Without that pad the vehicle goes into limp mode and won’t drive over 40. Don’t know why the brake switch is connected to other electronics in the vehicle that would make it go into limp mode. Very unsafe while driving on the highway.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the valve cover was engine oil leaking onto the exhaust manifold. There was smoke coming from underneath the hood. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and four new head gasket holes were drilled, and bolts were added. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 55,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that the engine had been replaced six times since the vehicle was purchased in 2018. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the engine would be replaced; however, the vehicle would not be replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

In October 2021 I attended my sisters funeral in Dallas Tx while in the parking lot I went to back up and backed into my Sons vehicle. No insurance claim was filed but I did pay out of pocket for the damage which was 2800.00. At the time I was unaware of the safety recall. My car still has no reverse camera clock or temperature reading and tpms system is failing as well. Last October I took the car to Johnston Ford in New Boston Texas. They kept the car for two and a half hours and fixed nothing. I repeatedly call back and always say they will return my call but to no avail. Please help I am lost without my reverse camera

The plastic break switch pad broke when I was driving on the highway. I lost engine power and RPMs were erratic. Brake lights would not turn off even when brakes were not applied. I could not excellorate normally or maintain speed. Upon examination the pad was brittle and yellowing. There is already a safety recall for this part but only in certain states that does not include Arizona.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The break pedal stop pad broke into small pieces while I was driving today. My car suddenly would not go above 40 and while going up a hill I couldn’t go faster than 20. When I finally got home I realized that my break lights would not turn off. I did google and it said to look on the floor board and see if there was anything on the floor. The pieces I found were identified as the break pedal stop pad. Yes it is available for inspection and I took pictures of the broken bits from the floorboard. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My car suddenly was unable to go the speed limit in 6 o’clock traffic putting me as well as those driving behind me in danger of a collision and physical harm. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? A message did pop up that said uphill break assist unavailable within 5 minutes of me getting in the vehicle. I had no previous issues or warnings before this incident.

Three different Service Adviser's stated they will phone me. Nothing Yet. Recall Notice 22R01, Brake pad was replaced. Works find.

The rear view camera randomly became unavailable after starting the car. Restarting the car did the fix it. In my online research, it is said that the cause is a faulty wiring harness that Ford used between 2014 and 2017, which would affect my car (2015).
