Summary2017-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L engine and a 10R80 transmission may experience an error message while performing Transmission Characterization/Solenoid IDN with IDS v122.05 stating "Unable To Communicate With The Module". A temporary workaround to complete programming is as follows: Uninstall IDS from the computer. Then, run the IDS clean up utility tool, located on PTS > Rotunda Tab > Diagnostic Tool Support > IDS Support > IDS troubleshooting guide. Next, Install IDS v122.01 (122_FULL) and retry the Transmission Characterization/Solenoid IDN using IDS level 122.01. Monitor OASIS for updates.

SummaryIn some of the affected vehicles, an undesirable noise may develop from the cam phasers in the 3.5L GTDI engine. This noise might occur as a rattle when starting the engine after the vehicle was turned off for an extended period of time or as a knocking noise when the engine is idling after it is warmed up. These concerns should be addressed by the updated calibration provided in FSA 21B10. However, for peace of mind, Ford is providing an extended warranty for customers who receive the PCM update under program 21B10 prior to December 21, 2021 and continue to experience cam phaser noise after receiving that PCM update.

SummaryOn your vehicle, moisture and water entering a power door lock actuator housing could cause the actuator motor to momentarily freeze in cold temperatures and may also cause actuator motor corrosion over time. Frozen water within a power door lock actuator housing or corrosion of the power door lock actuator motor could result in an inoperative power door lock function on the affected door.

SummaryThis article supersedes TSB 21-2144 to update the vehicle model years affected and the Part List. Some 2015-2020 F-150 and 2017-2021 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of heat or cooling from the cabin vents when the climate control settings are adjusted between hot and cold. This may be due to a stuck/binding temperature door within the climate control housing or binding/inoperative temperature door actuator. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1081:07 may be present in the front controls interface module (FCIM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to remove the climate control housing and replace the temperature door actuator(s) and/or lubricate the temperature blend door bearing surface.

SummarySome 2018-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may not be able to perform remote commands via the FordPass/LincolnWay App due to an erroneous deep sleep message. If the vehicle has been driven within 14 days and the battery state of charge is above 9.5 volts when the deep sleep message set, this is an erroneous message. Starting and running the vehicle will clear the message and allow the remote commands to function again. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will be released via an over the air (OTA) update that is expected in June 2021. Replacement or reprogramming of the telematics control unit (TCU)/gateway module (GWM) will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
