This may be due to the 15525 transmission wire harness not being properly secured. Visually inspect the harness for possible damage and proper routing at the rear of the engine down to the transmission. Repair as necessary. If no concerns are found, proceed with normal diagnosis.

SummarySSM 48558 - 2017-2020 Various Vehicles Equipped With Telematics Control Unit (TCU) - Various FordPass/LincolnWay Mobile App Concerns Some 2017-2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit inoperative remote features via Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app, incomplete user authorization and/or no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed. To correct this condition prior to programming, remove the TCU fuse for 5 minutes then reinstall. Delete all previous session files for the vehicle. Verify that the electronic serial number (ESN) is now displayed. Start a new IDS/FDRS session. Program the TCU to the latest IDS/FDRS version level. Make sure you are connected to the internet before retesting. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual(WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

When performing pinpoint test RK, the results of the selective catalyst reductant (SCR) dosing measurement test (RK7) may be zero or below the specified 40-50mL requirement due to urea crystals plugging the DEF injector nozzle. If the measurement is below this specified amount, perform pinpoint test step RK7 two additional times. If the specified amount is met, reinstall the reductant injector. If after three attempts the dosing measurement remains below the specified amount, the DEF injector should be replaced. The DEF pump should not be replaced for DTC P208E.

SummarySome 2019 F-150 vehicles built on 1-Mar-2019 and through 31-Oct-2019 with rear axle tag code S-971-M may exhibit a clicking/ticking noise from the left rear of the vehicle while driving at low speeds. The click/ticking noise from the left rear axle wheel end may be caused by a wheel bearing bore surface that is not machined. If no metal contamination is present in the fluid, inspect the left side rear axle bearing bore for an unmachined surface in the 12:00 oclock to 3:00 oclock position. If an unmachined surface is found, replace the rear axle housing.

SummarySome 2017-2020 F-150 and 2018-2020 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P04DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The regulatory monitor for DTC P04DB is sensitive to crankcase system pressure concerns such as oil level indicator o-ring seal, incorrectly installed oil level indicator, crankcase hose, vacuum hose disconnects and oil fill cap o-rings. If root cause is unidentified after inspecting for loose or incorrectly installed crankcase pressure system components, perform Pinpoint Test HG in the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual.

This condition may be due to the air conditioning (A/C) low side system pressure exceeding the high side pressure resulting in equalization of A/C system pressures through the EVDC A/C compressor. This noise is not detrimental to system operation or durability. Do not attempt diagnosis or repairs for this condition at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2018-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit excessive oil consumption of greater than 1L (1 quart) in 4,800 km (3,000 mi) with no visible oil leaks. This may be due to high intake manifold vacuum during some deceleration fuel shut off (DFSO) events resulting in oil being pulled into the combustion chamber from the crankcase, valve guides, and positive crankcase ventilation (PCV). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM), install a new engine oil level indicator and change the engine oil and oil filter. The revised PCM calibration reduces engine vacuum during some DFSO events.

SummaryThis article supersedes TSB 19-2285 to update the vehicle model years affected and Service Procedure. Some 2015-2020 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a glove compartment door that is difficult to latch on one or both sides or appears misaligned along the storage tray or right side instrument panel when closed. This may be due to the position of the glove compartment storage tray rubber mat or the seating of the glove compartment door strikers or glove compartment door hinge pins. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reposition or adjust the affected component.
