New car has millions of tiny dots everywhere in the windshield placed in irregular pattern. Not visible at normal light they brightly shine when sun is low and shining. I almost can't see anything in front of the car. Here is someone else on internet having exactly same problem. https: [XXX] Windshield is clear, washed multiple times - it doesn't seem that it can be removed from outside. I leased a brand new 2023 Ford Explorer. The day I was driving it home I noticed a distinct cracking/popping sound when I turned the steering wheel to the left while lifting my foot off the brake. It is not a series of pops. It’s just one pop when the wheel is turned. When I got home I took out the paper mat that was on the floor to make sure there were no other sounds in the car. The sound happens each time I am in my vehicle & it only happens when the wheel is turned to the left going less than 1 mph. I took it to a Ford dealership. The service advisor heard the sound when I drove a few feet & turned the wheel to the left in the parking lot. The service technician was able to reproduce the sound without driving at all. He turned the wheel, while in the park position, and reproduced it. There are no warning lamps. As of now, I have not been told what it is but it’s concerning knowing cracking sounds could be rack, steering, tie rod, ball joint or any number of steering or suspension problems. I’m now worried driving my new SUV.

Camera is not working and was recalled. Cannot be fixed or repaired. I requested to trade my vehicle for another one at a Ford Dealership or for the pay off and was told I couldn't do anything due to the recall. I am essentially stuck with a vehicle that is unsafe and I don't feel comfortable driving. The camera turns blue in the middle of backing up and I could hit any object or person in the middle of backing up with my view obstructed. I was advised that I just had to wait or go to a 3rd party dealer who would give me cash.

At 36-42 mph the vehicle vibrates underneath, not the stearing wheel, it is clear something is not right. The vibration goes away when you hit 43 mph it smooths out and you dont feel it. No lights come on, I have had it checked and because there is no recall or a faulty light coming on or a sensor in my computer module, there is nothing Ford can do they say. They did tell me that Ford is aware of this as there are about 8 other vehicles they have seen that have this same issue. I am thinking possiibly the drive shaft is not balanced properly, I have done some research online and otheres have complained about this too. Hopeing this will be looked into further, hate the spend all this money on a vehicle and find that by driving it we are ruining something else and then have to spend more money to fix it or it casues someone to get into an accident. Please look into this, my vehicle is not the only one out there and it is brand new.

Windshield stress crack developed overnight. First notices July 18th as small crack (less than 6 inches) on right top third. Over the week grew to 8 inches. Less than 10,000 miles and under 1 year. Ford considers this a wear item and is only covered for 90 days. Currently available for inspection. Not driving car in case the windshield completely fails. Windshield will be inspected and replaced by insurance.

The power lift gate was making a popping noise, so I took the truck to Ford for repair. They supposedly repaired the truck, but the power lift gate started opening and closing on its own and at random times. It also started to rain through the back glass, which caused mild in the truck. The warning states that the power loft gate should be completely closed or it can result in death, but it wasn’t able to close at all times. Ours safety was out at risk due to the power lift gate opening and closing at random times, which could have caused me to be hit, other drivers to be injured, and theft of property from other people having access while the power lift gate didn’t properly close. The problem was confirmed by a dealer. I showed video as well. The manufacturer has inspected the vehicle component, but they broke a panel on the driver door and tried to glue it on, so the manufacturer is dishonest. They also advised that I have a “bad car” but refuse to do anything. No it was no warnings.

Car has recall for rear end bolt that breaks, took car in to have repair made. Came home with a software update that sets the park brake when you put car in park, and then when start the car and put into gear you press the accelerator or press the button, the car will lunge forward or reverse when you press accelerator, not safe at all! From what I have read the NHSTA approved this (fix) instead of fixing the sub frame and more bolts like it should be, instead of a auto parking brake that sets every time. I do feel this is a extreme safety issue and should be addressed immediately! Shame on you and Ford, an auto park brake is not a solution, only a poor band-aid !

Every 6 months, the rear cameras, cross traffic sensors and blind spot warning go out and completely stop functioning. I take it to the dealer tland they keep it for 1-2 weeks and eventually replace a fuse and send it home. This has happened four times. No one will actually correct the root cause ti the issue. It's going on its third week in the shop this time.

When going from Drive to Reverse, the car will delay for 30 seconds to a minute and display a white vehicle screen. It will be inoperable during this delay time, which can be dangerous given the situation and I have almost been hit twice because of this delay. I am uncomfortable driving the vehicle, as not being able to put the car immediately into reverse in any given situation is dangerous for both myself, my children and anyone else on the road. The vehicle has been into the dealership, they said no issue exist. However, after picking up the vehicle the concern still exist and now I am stuck with a vehicle that I cannot drive. No warning messages are being displayed, this is one reason why the dealership is saying there is no issue.

The fuse box got wet after a routine car wash. The hood was not opened at any point prior to the car wash, nor directly afterwards until the incident occurred. A few hours after the car wash, the horn went off on its own continuously for 5-10 minutes and had to be shut off manually via disconnecting the battery. The car was not running or turned on in any way at this point. Prior to disconnecting the battery, the car was turned on to try and deactivate the horn. The horn was still blaring and the car would not shut off. Upon inspection, there was smoke coming from the fuse box. Multiple vehicle alerts went off on the dash including Hill start assist warning, Powertrain malfunction/reduced power and pre-collision assist warning lights. The car was taken to the dealership for repairs. The following "story" was conducted at the dealership: Unhooked battery. Removed front cowl battery junction box. Removed battery junction box. Battery junction box is burnt up and engine bay harness is melted. Engine bay harness needs replaced. Have to remove engine assembly to gain access to harness. Removed engine transmission and subframe assembly. Removed inner plastic firewall. Removed harness and replaced. Reinstalled drive train assembly replaced all one time use fasteners. Reassembled car. Found horn is INOP. Diagnosed and found horn is burned up from being stuck on from melted harness. Removed front bumper cover. Replaced Horn and reassembled. Horn works now. Cleared all DTCs. No DTCs returned. Test drove car. Everything is working properly now and no codes returned. Total repairs are $3,300. I did not feel safe in any regards while driving it to the dealership. Through casual conversation with a friend who works at the dealership, they witnessed something similar happen with a Ford F-150. I don't believe that this has been inspected by the manufacturer, police or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the incident.

-PARKING BRAKE IS AUTO ENGAGED 100% OF THE TIME AT START or WHILE SHIFTING OUT OF PARK or SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. DRIVE or REVERSE -TO DISENGAGE THE PARK BRAKE YOU HAVE TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. -PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR TO DISENGAGE IS INCONNSISTENT EVERY TIME. -VEHICLE LURCHES UNCONTROLLABLY WHEN RELEASING THE VEHICLE OFF THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE SETTING. -THE JOLT OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE DEPRESS PRESSURE IS SO SIGNIFICANT AND DANGEROUS CAUSING THE RISK TO HITTING ANY PARKED VEHICLE WHILE PARALLEL PARKING OR HITTING STRUCTURE/GARAGE WHEN PARKING, JOLTING INTO TRAFFIC FROM A STOPPED/PARKED POSITION or TO PEOPLE WALKING NEAR THE VEHICLE WHILE TRYING TO MANIPULATE THE VEHICLE. -WHEN THE AUTO HOLD FEATURE IS TURNED ON, IT CAN BE ASSUMED TO BE ENGAGED BY PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL but IF THE PEDAL ISN'T ENGAGED WITH ENOUGH FULL PRESSURE THE AUTO HOLD WILL NOT FULLY ACTIVATE. IN NOTIFICATION WHEN ON IS IN SMALL GREEN TEXT THAT CAN BE EASILY MISSED/CONFUSED WITH THE GREEN SYMBOL SIMILAR IN SIZE TO THE GREEN AUTO HEADLIGHT SETTING IN THE SAME ZONE. THIS CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO BELIEVE AUTO HOLD IN ENGAGED WHEN USING PERIPHERIAL VISION FOR THE INDICATOR QUE WITHOUT DIRECTLY TAKING EYES OFF THE FORWARD CONDITION. THIS GIVES THE DRIVER A FALSE CONFIDENCE TO REMOVE THEIR FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND HAVE THE VEHICLE CREEP FORWARD AND CAN LEAD TO ACCIDENT OR INJURY.
