SERVICE BRAKES, EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS, EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL:FLASHER UNIT
The contact's wife owns a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the right turn signal light illuminated and blinked intermittently. The contact's wife noticed that the rear passenger’s side brake light and signal light failed to work as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake light had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact stated that on a separate occasion while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, and made an abnormal sound. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on 4 separate occasions. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.

AIR BAGS
The contact owned a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH going north on [XXX] towards [XXX] , another vehicle made a sudeen left turn. As a result, the vehicle T-boned the vehicle that was making a left turn, then the contact's vehicle came to a stop, and the other vehicle was flipped over. There were no warning lights illuminated.The air bag deployed, the cover corner then cut the contact hand and tore her tendons. The contact suffered injuries to the chest when she impacted the steering wheel, her heart was bruised, and the bottom of her lungs collapsed. The contact was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. A police report was filed. The contact was still receiving medical attention and physical therapy. There were no other people injured in the accident. The vehicle was towed to an undisclosed location. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where unknown repairs were completed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact stated that there was a loud banging sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the same loud sound was heard while driving forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was duplicated; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V172000 (Power Train) and linked the failure to the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 13,000.

Lately this car has been signalling , to brake sooner because a vehicle is near but there is no vehicle around. While driving today we pulled out of a parking lot and entered main road the car stopped and it felt like a vehicle slammed and hit the rear end. My husband is assuming transmission went out. Our traverse wouldnt accurate over 16 mph. (While driving) very dangerous!!!!

I was told from Dan Cummins where I bought my vehicle that there was a recall on my vehicle for the exhaust pipe, when I tried to get it fixed I was told there wasn’t. When I searched up the recall it says “yes there is a recall on 2023 Chevy traverse for the exhaust pipe” and where the parts are saying it’s recalled “ exhaust front intermediate pipe and the catalytic converter to front exhaust pipe gasket” is exactly where my hole is in my exhaust pipe. It started as a leak but has grown into a hole due to not being fixed. I tried adding photos of it and where it says there is a recall that “ Dealers will replace the front exhaust pipe on the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse at no cost to the customer” but I don’t know if they uploaded.

7-8 mild transmission slips/sticking 3 MAJOR transmission events where the car seized up completely and stopped running. Almost felt like a car crash. Very abrupt stop and almost caused people behind us to rear end us Car is only 21 months old / 17,000 miles. Most recent was in early August. We have not driven car since out of fear.

The exhaust pipe, gaskets and muffler. Yes, at times we do smell the exhaust inside the vehicle and a loud sound coming from the engine when the vehicle is in motion and on standby. Yes they were notified and are still waiting for parts to have it repaired. They advised to continue driving my car and refused to provide a rental to use during the downtime due to my ‘issue’ not covered by my warranty or extended warranty because my vehicle is over 36k miles. No warnings were on in the vehicle to notify me, I just noticed a weird sound as my car would start up when the vehicle is started and never stopped.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving 63 MPH with her son in the front passenger’s side seat, she heard a gunshot-like sound and noticed that the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact stated that the shade guard was closed at the time of the failure; however, while the contact continued driving, the shade guard raised up, allowing broken pieces of glass to fall inside the vehicle. The contact pulled to the side of the road for a moment. The contact stated that she sustained a cut on the right hand. The contact did not seek medical assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was informed that she would be contacted within 72 hours. The dealer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
