• The seal lips of the new dust cover seal and drive shaft oil seal must be lubricated before installation to prevent damage.

3. Install Dust Cover Seal: The new dust cover seal is installed to a specified depth of 0.0-0.6 mm (0.000-0.024 inches) using a suitable tool.
4. Drive Shaft Support Bracket Installation (Specific Models): For 2019-2022 Altimas and 2021-2022 Rogues, specific steps are outlined for installing the drive shaft support bearing bracket to prevent leaks and damage. This involves placing the bracket flat against the engine block and transfer assembly, loosely installing bolts, then finger tightening the top and bottom engine block bolts, followed by the transfer assembly bolts. Finally, all bolts are torqued to 48.0 N·m (35 ft-lb).
