• Transmission Failure: If data transmission fails, the KDS app will attempt to upload test results automatically once an internet connection is available. Dealers can also manually initiate a "Send All Pending" action if the internet connection has been restored.

Conditions for Data Collection

For the Kia emissions data collection procedure to be performed, the vehicle must meet the following criteria:

• Open Data Collection Code: WebDCS must show an open Data Collection code, specifically DC23XXXX (the exact code varies by model, as detailed in the table on page 7 of the TSB).
• Mileage: The vehicle must have more than 3,000 accumulated miles on its odometer.

9. Send Data: Scroll to the second page of the data display and select the 'Send' (I) button to transmit the collected data to Kia's server.
10. Print Record: A confirmation screen will appear. Select 'Print' (J) to get a record of the IUMPR data collection to attach to the repair order as evidence.

Checking Data Transmission Status

Dealers can check the status of the data transmission:

1. Select Status Check: From the DC Data Collection screen, select 'Status Check' (A).
2. Review Status: The Data Transmission Status Check screen will display the status:
   • "Sent" (B) indicates IUMPR data has been successfully sent to Kia's server.
   • "Pending" (C) indicates data was collected and saved in KDS but awaits transmission once an internet connection is established.
3. Search Past Data: A particular VIN, Repair Order number, or Date range (E) can be entered to find past collected data.
