Important Warnings

Fluid condition alone is not a reason to replace the transmission for D-Clutch repair. It is normal for the transmission oil pan to contain fine debris stuck to the magnets. Burnt oil and debris DO NOT warrant a transmission replacement for a D piston seal failure. Burnt fluid may indicate clutch damage, but the clutch will be replaced as part of the D Piston kit.

Repair Procedure Summary

5. If a remanufactured part is on backorder and an OE part is in stock, order the OE part to minimize vehicle downtime. Any excessive rental time charges will not be reimbursed if an OE part was available. Warranty Limitations

Active Headrest replacement to clear these DTCs is not covered by the extended warranty and will be subject to recovery on a case-by-case basis. The only condition covered by the extended warranty (10 years/unlimited mileage from Date of Purchase) is an AHR that has deployed and cannot be reset by the repair procedure described in WARRANTY OPERATIONS NEWSLETTER VOLUME 11, ISSUE 2 (Rev. A) published on February 19, 2025. Other conditions like Torn, Faded, BSR/Squeak, Electrical failures, Open Circuit, or DTCs after the original warranty period (3 years/30,000 miles) are not covered.

Front Axle ABS Light After Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (2025 Ram ProMaster VF)

This procedure aims to improve diagnosis of coolant reservoir leaks and prevent unnecessary replacements, applicable to all 2022-2025 models.

Reminders for Technicians

• Always use an appropriately sized funnel for topping off the cooling system.
• Always wipe up any spilled coolant after refill.
• Fill to the "max fill" line only; do not overfill, as this can cause coolant spillage under hot conditions.
• Do not disconnect quick connects or hose/clamps unnecessarily.
• Do not manipulate hose clamps or quick connects.
• If the reservoir is returned for review, include the cap.

Leak Diagnosis Procedure

1. Visual Inspection: Perform a visual inspection of the cooling system and reservoir area, checking for any signs of leakage. Wipe up any existing coolant or liquid before starting.
2. Pressure Leak Down Test: Apply 21 PSI to the reservoir. For low temperature or battery systems, always use 21 PSI, even if the cap pressure is 5 PSI, as the system is designed to withstand 21 PSI. Hold 21 PSI for 10 minutes and check for leaks.
3. Soapy Water Application: If a leak is found on the bottle itself while the system is under pressure, spray soapy water onto the bottle to identify potential leaks. Focus on the reservoir seam, cap area, and into the overflow port (if accessible).
4. Important Warning: If a leak is found at the inlet or outlet joints, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE JOINT OR MANIPULATE IT. Use soapy water to spray onto the joints.
5. Documentation: Take video/pictures of the leak for the claim and mark the source of the leak with a sharpie/paint marker.
