Even if the VIN is not on the list but the customer reports the symptoms mentioned, the repair procedure should still be followed.

Repair Procedure Summary

The repair for the 2026 Jeep Compass PCM update involves a multi-step process, potentially including the replacement of the upstream oxygen sensor and reprogramming the PCM. Here's a summary of the procedure:

1. Prepare for Flash: Install a battery charger to maintain voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts during the flash process to prevent interruptions.
2. Verify RSU Applicability: Check if the vehicle's VIN is on the Rapid Service Update (RSU) VIN list. If not, this bulletin does not apply.
3. Check for DTCs: Determine if DTCs P0032, P0133, and P0171 are present. If they are, proceed to the oxygen sensor replacement step. If not, perform a run cycle check.
4. Run Cycle Check (if no DTCs): Allow the vehicle to warm up for approximately two minutes. Maintain the accelerator at 2,500 rpm and check for any unintentional oscillation in the rpm needle (around 500 rpm) or engine sound frequency around three seconds. If oscillation is observed, proceed to oxygen sensor replacement.
