2021-2025 Jeep Compass Rear Seat Belt Will Not Retract TSB

Symptoms

Owners of 2021-2025 Jeep Compass vehicles may encounter a common issue where a "rear seat belt that does not retract or is locked." This can affect one or both rear seat belts, making them difficult or impossible to use. The primary cause identified for this "Jeep Compass seat belt locked" problem is a folded seat belt, which prevents the retraction mechanism from operating correctly.
