• Wireless Connections: Do not perform control module (CM) updates across any type of wireless connection between the laptop and the interface device. A disrupted wireless connection during a CM update can cause permanent damage to the ECU. Always perform CM updates using a cable connection.
• Post-Update Messages: On vehicles equipped with the 9-inch center display, certain system messages may appear on the screen immediately after the update. These messages are normal and will clear automatically within a few minutes once the ignition is placed in IGII or the run position.

1. Software Preparation: Ensure all diagnostic and reprogramming software (i-HDS, HDS, J2534 Rewrite) are updated to the specified versions or later.
2. Vehicle Connection: Connect the i-HDS to the vehicle and select the J2534 Rewrite function.
3. Software Update Initiation: Follow the prompts to start the reprogramming process. Do not enter a service bulletin number when prompted; simply select 'Start'.
4. Vehicle Information: Enter the vehicle's VIN and repair order number when requested.
5. Module Selection: Select the ACC/CMBS module for the update.
6. Confirmation and Reprogramming: Confirm the update information and select 'ENTER' to begin the reprogramming. The system will display progress, and it is crucial not to interrupt the process.
7. Post-Update Checks: Once the module update is complete, perform an ALL DTC Check and clear any codes that may have been set during the update.
8. Ignition Cycles: Place the ignition in IGII and leave it until warning lights extinguish, then turn it off for 15 seconds. Repeat this two additional times.
9. Final Verification: After three ignition cycles, place the ignition in IGII and check for any illuminated Sensing support warning lights. If none, the update is successful. If "ACC warning light" or Sensing support lights illuminate and DTC B2A60-96 or C0041-14 return, continue with normal troubleshooting.
