When handling the cable straps, it is essential to follow the specific repair instructions outlined in "Notes for opening and closing cable ties REH-HIN-P-6125-5 - V.10" to ensure safety and prevent damage to the high-voltage system.

Repair Procedure Summary

This service action, identified by Repair Code 0061330800, involves a multi-step process to inspect and, if necessary, rework the 2023 BMW X5 inverter supply line. The procedure begins with removing the rear underbody protection and the stiffening plate, referencing specific repair instructions (REP-REP-P-5147491-G05 - V.6 and REP-REP-P-3111040-G05_B58AWD - V.5).

Technicians will then visually inspect the inverter supply line for any damage. The bulletin highlights that improper routing and sharp edges of the High Voltage (HV) cable support bracket can cause damage to the EGS-EME supply line harness. If damage is found, low voltage (LV) supply lines will be repaired according to instructions (REP-REP-RAF0161-6100_KABELBAUM – V.26), and the harness will be covered with fabric adhesive tape (P/N 61 13 6925452).

If no damage is present, or after repairs, the harness routing is checked. If the EGS-EME harness is not correctly routed on the (B) side of the HV cable support bracket, existing cable ties are removed, the harness is repositioned, and new cable ties are used to secure it. The procedure concludes with the reinstallation of the stiffening plate and rear underbody protection.
