Symptoms

Owners of certain 2021-2022 Audi models may notice that their Audi Virtual Cockpit white sheen appears on the display. Audi has identified that the Audi Virtual Cockpit white sheen is caused by a hardware issue within the instrument cluster itself. This is not a software glitch but a physical defect. To address this, an optimized instrument cluster hardware design has been in production since January 1, 2022.

Important Warnings

When replacing the instrument cluster, Audi specifies an important detail:

• NOTICE: If the replacement cluster is produced BEFORE the 01/01/2022, it is still ok to use as a replacement.

This means that even if a replacement part was manufactured before the hardware optimization, it is considered acceptable for use in the repair.
