2023-2026 Audi Virtual Cockpit Display Fault TSB

Symptoms

Diagnosis / Trigger Conditions

This issue stems from a hardware problem within the Audi virtual cockpit itself. Audi implemented optimized hardware in the virtual cockpit for vehicles produced on or after October 1, 2024. Therefore, this TSB specifically applies to vehicles where the instrument cluster's production date is BEFORE October 1, 2024.

To diagnose the condition and confirm if the TSB applies, technicians must perform the following steps:

1. Attach a photo of the customer's concern to the DOC-IT system, ensuring the VIN and date are clearly visible in the image.
2. Document the production date of the instrument cluster in the warranty claim notes. This is done by using Self Diagnosis, selecting diagnostic address 17, then using the control module OBD drop-down to select "Identification." Technicians then click "show expanded identification" and expand "Fazit identification" to record the "Day of manufacture."

If the instrument cluster's production date is before October 1, 2024, and the Audi e-tron virtual cockpit fault is present, the TSB's repair procedure should be followed.
