Repair Procedure Summary

The corrective action for Service Action 97GE involves an inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the air conditioner valve block wiring harness. The procedure includes the following steps:

1. Check for Previous Repair: Technicians will verify the campaign status in the Elsa system to ensure the action is open for the specific VIN.
2. Access Components: The left front wheel and inner fender liner will be removed to gain access to the air conditioner valve block.
3. Inspect Wiring: The wiring on the N643 and N641 connectors will be thoroughly checked. If the wire colors for the N643 connector are all yellow, or if the wire colors for either the N643 or N641 connectors do not match the specified illustrations, a replacement is necessary.
4. Replace Wiring Harness: If required, the existing wiring harness will be replaced with a new one. It is crucial to ensure that the correct connectors are properly plugged into the air conditioner valve block, specifically connecting the new harness's N643 connector to the AVK5 connection.
5. Reinstallation: All removed components will be reinstalled in reverse order.

This campaign, Service Action 97GE, expires on March 01, 2027. Repairs must be completed on or before this date to be eligible for free payment. If the service is performed after this expiration date, normal dealership costs will apply.
