Engine shutdown while driving (was towing a travel trailer at the time) and after coasting to a stop the engine would not start. After 10 minutes the engine would start, but had loud knocking. My 2024 Tundra only had 31,726 miles and had to be towed to the dealership. Seems to be the known engine issues with the redesigned v6 engine. Tundra has been in the dealership for 4 weeks and was told it will require engine replacement, but do not know when the new engine will be shipped. While Toyota will perform the replacement free of charge, based on the hundreds of thousands of Tundra's being recalled for this very issue, I no longer trust this engine design (replaced or not).

This is the second time this has happened to my truck. I was driving on the freeway at about 30–40 mph when the truck suddenly shut off. It was very scary because I was in moving traffic. This time, several warning lights came on, but I didn’t have a chance to see what they were because I immediately started to panic. I had to bring the truck to a complete stop by applying the brakes and then shifting it into Park. Once I did that, I pressed the Start button, and the truck started back up. This incident has me very concerned because it’s now happened twice. I’m worried that if it happens again, I could be rear-ended and seriously injured. I believe this is a significant safety issue that needs to be investigated and repaired as soon as possible. This is the second time this has happened to my truck. Bought my vehicle brand new on January 2026. During heavy rain, my truck has a strong water leak that comes out of the handle bars between the windshield and front door windows, behind the rearview mirrors and the sun glasses compartment. I’ve brought my vehicle to the dealership 3 times already and couldn’t fix the issue or duplicate the water leak. After the third visit at the dealership, i couldn’t find out if the leak was fixed since it has not rained since then. So i went ahead and washed my vehicle and sprayed the top and front of my vehicle. As i went in my truck, i saw water leaking again.

While driving my 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid, the engine suffered a catastrophic seizure at approximately 37,974 miles. The dealership retrieved substantial metal machining debris (swarf) from inside the engine, which had contaminated the #1 main bearing. This is the exact same manufacturing defect Toyota has publicly acknowledged in multiple safety recalls for 2024 Tundras. Service Manager Dan Moran at Toyota of Colorado Springs confirmed during a recorded call that his dealership has seen the identical debris-related engine failure in other hybrid Tundras. Despite this, Toyota excludes all hybrids from the recalls. Even with clear physical evidence matching the recalled defect, Toyota directed an in-house rebuild (using a new short block but many of my original contaminated components) instead of providing a full factory crate engine. I was never offered a choice in the remedy. This sudden engine failure created a serious safety hazard due to unexpected loss of power. The current repair does not fully eliminate the known root cause (manufacturing debris contamination). The vehicle was well within warranty at failure and remains so. The dealership has the debris and full repair records available for inspection. I have also submitted the debris photo, repair documents, and recorded call summaries to NCDS (Case #[XXX]) and the Colorado Attorney General’s office. was waiting for the traffic light to turn green. Vehicle in drive with foot on brake. the traffic light turned green, I took my foot off the brakes and pushed on the accelerator. Nothin happened. I saw another vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed behind me so I continued to mash on the accelerator. right before being hit by the car behind me my vehicle lurched forward a few feet then stopped again. I looked at the dash display and saw a "Hybrid System Malfunction" warning. Because of the traffic situation/location it was not safe to just sit in the road so I continued to pump on the accelerator. each pumped moved the vehicle forward a couple of feet. I did not turn of the engine because I was unsure what would happen so I continued to do that for about a mile or so until I could get to a safe place to pull over. during this time, I almost got rear-ended and side-swiped several times. Once stopped I attempted to start the vehicle several times and got the "Hybrid System Malfunction" display and the vehicle would not start. I waited for about an hour with the vehicle off and restarted the engine. I stayed off the freeway and took backroads to the closest dealer service center where it is currently located. When I dropped it off the service rep said he hasn't seen anything like this. Prior to this incident I had no issues with the truck and it was last serviced by the dealership on March 4, 2026.

I am reporting a severe thermal and electrical safety hazard regarding the OEM wireless charging pad in a 2025 Toyota Tundra. During standard vehicle operation, the integrated charging pad overheats to extreme temperatures. On a recent drive, the heat generated by the vehicle's charging pad was so intense that it physically melted, blistered, and deformed a MagSafe-compatible protective case on a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. This safety issue has been brought to an authorized dealership, Toyota of Hollywood (Repair Order #[XXX]), for a second consecutive time. The dealership officially documented the property damage in writing on the invoice, stating: 'Phone got melted from how hot it gets.' However, they refused to perform repairs or disable the system, explicitly noting: 'Vehicle was compared to another and both doing the same.' By admitting that multiple new vehicles exhibit this exact overheating behavior, the manufacturer is confirming a systemic and unaddressed design or manufacturing defect. An in-dash electrical component capable of melting plastic poses an immediate cabin fire hazard, risks triggering thermal runaway in the mobile device's lithium-ion battery, and directly threatens occupant safety. Toyota Corporate has opened Case #[XXX], but no remedy or safety recall has been provided." INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I took my 2024 Toyota Tundra to dealer on December 4, 2025 for scheduled maintenance. At that time I was informed by the service advisor that there were 2 recalls on my vehicle. (1) Engine replacement recall and (2) reverse lamp recall. I agreed to leave my vehicle for the recall repair(s) as I was told they would be completed in 4 to 6 weeks. Here I am, almost 7 months later, and neither Toyota Corporation or dealership know when a remedy for these recalls will become available. I call consistently to Corporate and dealer and get the same response from both “we’re very sorry for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”I’m a patient person but this is way beyond being an inconvenience and patience has run out. Making payments faithfully on a vehicle you don’t have is beyond absurd.

Recall number 25V-767 engine may stall during driving. I was told by my local Tempe Toyota dealership that my engine was going to be replaced and they would contact me when my line number came up. Now I learned that Toyota can't keep up with the demand so they are going to scan vehicles to see if there is any damage. My vehicle only has 20,000 miles on it so how can a scan determine that the engine will not fail at 60K. That's like telling someone that needs a heart transplant that there heart is beating good today so they don't get the transplant. Do people need to die to make Toyota liable. Toyota knew these vehicles were bad but they were allowed to continue to sell them year after year. It is a fact the #1 main bearing is defective. I don't feel comfortable putting my family in a vehicle that can seize up while going at a high speed. NHTSA it is your job to hold vehicle manufacturers to a high safety standard.

Heads up display(HUD) and windshield incompatibility issues from factory making HUD display blurry. Very distracting while driving because you’re too busy trying to see clearly and it takes away time from playing attention to the road. Lots of reports online about blurry HUD with 3rd generation toyota tundra from the beginning model year all the way up to most recent model year- it seems like they’re not doing anything about it. People online have reported getting dizzy while driving when trying to focus on the HUD- possible cause of accidents? Please look into this!

Toyota Tundra 2025 Limited stalled at highway speeds. The vehicle flashed "Parking Brake Support" message, but dealer says it has to do with an engine failure. Vehicle came to a grinding stop and would only advance in short spurts before dying on the side of the road. I was in the left lane of a major highway during rush hour. Luckily, traffic was behind me, and I was able to limp to the shoulder before traffic arrived. I noticed nothing prior. A loose gas cap may have prompted the system to send failure message. I haven't heard yet why it stalled. But my safety was definitely put at risk, and I was lucky to not be rearended
