SummaryVOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2021 SENTRA; SIDE RADAR SENSOR INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary service campaign, on certain specific model year 2021 Sentra vehicles, to replace both right and left radar sensors located under the rear bumper fascia. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PM981 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealerâs inventory.

Summary2021 ROGUE AND SENTRA; DTCS B2E4B-06, B2E60-06, B2E61-06 STORED IN THE TCU IF YOU CONFIRM The customer experiences an issue with the NissanConnect® Service remote commands, And Any of the following DTCs are present in the Telematics Control Unit (TCU): ï· B2E4B-06 ï· B2E60-06 ï· B2E61-06 NOTE: These DTCs are caused by an issue with a cloud-server that is related to the TCU. The DTC diagnosis was mistakenly added to the ESM and should be ignored. ACTION 1. Do NOT replace the TCU. Replacing the TCU will not resolve the concern. 2. Send an email to [email protected].

ACTION 1. Test the vehicleâs 12 volt battery using the Midtronics DSS-5000. Recharge or replace the battery if necessary. 2. Erase all DTCs.

SummaryPREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a âCape Chiselâ in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). ï· The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. ï· Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled. The TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed.

If other DTCs are stored with P161D, perform the diagnosis and repair procedures, outlined in the ESM, for the other DTCs first. ï· After the other DTCs have been resolved and P161D does not clear, proceed with the diagnosis and repair, outlined in the ESM, for DTC P161D.
