ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
Vehicle stalls out at highway speeds. It will be in gear, shown on the dash, it will be redlining, but not move. It will stall out while the vehicle is in motion. The accelerator does not provide power to the transmission and acts as if it is in neutral. All I can do is coast to the side of the road and power off the car, open the door to provide a full power down, then restart the vehicle. This has happened over a dozen times since August 2025. Mercedes says there is no fix. It’s been in the shop more than 10 times for over 60 days. They have even sent out field engineers who cannot duplicate the issue, yet there are codes stored in the cars computer. The car also does not always shift into reverse or drive from park. The transmission often has a small 1-2 second delay upon pressing the accelerator from a stop, which sometimes puts me into the path of an oncoming car, say when turning left on a flashing yellow. Since the car has a delayed response, it puts me I harms way when I may have had time to go, but then it didn’t move. It also drives very jerky at times, shifts late or not at all. I have video of this but cannot load it through this form, so we need to send it a different way. I’ve opened multiple buy back requests as a lemon but Mercedes says no. I have far more documents than I can upload here if you have a way to send them. Mercedes says the car is safe and told me in person “if you crash, that’s why you have airbags”. Because the car can stall without notice at highway speeds, it is not safe in my opinion and it’s appalling they won’t fix it or buy it back.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The panoramic sunroof glass on my 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB suddenly shattered while I was driving on Interstate 20. The failure occurred without any observed impact from another vehicle, object, or roadway debris. The damaged sunroof and vehicle are available for inspection upon request. The failure occurred unexpectedly while traveling at highway speed and was accompanied by a loud explosion-like sound that resembled a gunshot. The sudden noise startled me and could have caused a loss of vehicle control. Additionally, shattered glass posed a potential risk of injury to vehicle occupants and could have created a hazard for other motorists. The incident was reported to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. The dealership confirmed that the sunroof glass had shattered. However, I do not agree with the conclusion that roadway debris caused the failure because I did not observe any object strike the vehicle and no supporting evidence has been provided to me. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and the incident has been reported to Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance. No police report was filed because there was no collision or criminal activity involved. No warning lamps, messages, alerts, or other symptoms appeared before the failure. The sunroof functioned normally prior to the incident. The failure occurred suddenly and without warning while the vehicle was being driven. I am requesting a thorough review of this incident, including an evaluation of whether the sunroof failure may have resulted from a manufacturing defect, thermal stress, or another non-impact-related cause. I believe the circumstances surrounding this event warrant further investigation because the sudden failure created a significant safety concern while operating the vehicle at highway speeds. I am seeking a fair resolution and a detailed explanation of the basis for the determination that roadway debris caused the damage

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Rear Camera malfunction The flap of the reversing camera opens and closes by itself during forward travel, making a loud thumb noise every time the car slows down to an intersection. No camera image is displayed in the head unit. This is a driving distraction for the operator and thus a safety issue as the sound is loud and its made constantly at every stop when you slow down. Dealer was able to reproduce and said this was normal behavior. Recommended disabling the Parktronic driving assistance feature to not engage sensors, but this in itself would be inactivating an important safety feature. This problem is widely reported online.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
1. Transmission Problem Vehicle Rolls backwards when the gear / transmission is in "Drive". It happens in these two situations: a) I am stopped at a Traffic Light which is Red. The road is at a moderate upward incline. When the Light turns Green, and I move my foot from the Break pedal to the Accelerator to move forward, the GLB rolls backwards even though the transmission is, and has been, in "Drive". b) I am backing out of my garage. Our driveway is at a moderate Backward / Downward Decline. As I reach the point where I shift the gear into "Drive", the car still continues to roll backwards. This is despite the fact that I had to depress the Brake pedal to place the vehicle in Drive. c) I have checked the settings and confirmed that the transmission is NOT in manual mode. The problem is happening when the Transmission is in automatic mode. I have been cautious and prevented an accident over the last 6 months that I have owned this car. ___________________________________ 2. Cruise Control: This is a situation is that I am driving, and I have the Cruise Control "On". I encounter the traffic to be slowing, so I push the "Cancel" button for the Cruise Control in the left bar of the steering wheel. As I manipulate the wheel to make a left turn, the "Resume" button, also in the left bar of the steering wheel, gets touched without my realization. The GLB zooms ahead violently! This is dangerous and unexpected acceleration. A corollary to this malady is that the radio suddenly blasts loud as I manipulate the steering wheel to make a right turn. The radio volume button in the bar of the steering wheel gets touched without my realization. This is dangerous. It can make the Driver jump and react suddenly to the unexpected loud noise. I REPORTED THESE 2 PROBLEMS TO MERCEDES BENZ OF NORTH AMERICA THROUGH THE WEBSITE IN DETAIL AS ABOVE ON DEC 9, 2024 THE SITE PROMISES A RESPONSE IN 24 HOURS. I HAVE NO RESPONSE

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Every time I start my new Mercedes, the backup camera MUST recalibrate itself even if I never put the vehicle in reverse and am driving forward. This happens throughout the entire drive, every single time. The Mercedes forums all corroborate this as other models; not just the GLB, experience this. Mercedes denies anything is wrong and says this is “expected behavior for rear camera calibration”. This makes absolutely no sense why a rear camera would need to recalibrate itself on every drive even when you never place the car in reverse. Furthermore, the backup camera is the “pop out kind” so you constantly hear it popping out and popping back in. It’s extremely distracting as it continues to pop in and out as I slow in traffic at a signal or stop sign. This is with certainty, a manufacturing defect and must be remediated. Thanks for listening as it’s appreciated.
