Motor Generator Unit Engineering is looking to avoid unnecessary part replacements for Motor Generator Unit (MGU) underhood whining noise and P1C64 faults. When replacing the MGU for a bearing noise, connect the scan tool to the vehicle and create a scan report to include with the claim prior to replacement of the MGU. See SOL case S2208000009 for added details. Please check Service Library for available TSBs for your concern. Follow current Service Procedures for each complaint, but call Engineering before removing MGU to gather further information.
