I purchased a 2024 F-450 Limited from Phil Long Ford of [XXX] [XXX] located in [XXX] on XXX. After noticing that I was the third (sometimes the fourth listed owner) I decided to do some further investigation on the truck's history. I've come to find out that the truck was imported from [XXX], which was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase. The vehicle’s electronic systems and safety components have repeatedly malfunctioned, including the Hill Start Assist system, Hill Descent Control system, Blind Spot Detection system, diesel exhaust fluid system, and powertrain control system. These failures are documented through FordPass alerts dated May–August 2023 (it was sold to me as "new" and built at Ford's [XXX] plant in September of 2024) and Ford Oasis records, which is impossible for a 2024 model year truck and indicates prior use, module tampering, or VIN corruption. All components remain available for inspection. These failures placed my safety at risk by disabling braking‑assist systems, stability‑control systems, and exhaust‑emissions controls while driving. The AC hasn't worked on the truck in months. The problems have been reproduced and confirmed through FordPass, Ford Oasis, and diagnostic data showing module faults, mileage inconsistencies, and ECU irregularities. The vehicle has been inspected by multiple Phil Long Ford locations throughout [XXX], FordPass connected‑vehicle diagnostics, and Ford Oasis, all of which show repeated system faults and warnings. Warning lamps and messages first appeared in May 2023 according to FordPass, long before the vehicle was sold, or even built for that matter, and continued through 2024–2026. Based on the evidence, the cause appears to be prior foreign‑market use, improper importation, undisclosed repairs, and electronic module tampering. If any portion of this cannot be conclusively verified, the cause is UNKNOWN and based on the best available documentation. The navigation is intermittent, which causes the dash and connectivity to stop, which makes the dash go blank. Come back on and has shut the truck off a couple of times. Ford is saying it's connectivity, they're connectivity. People is saying the software software people are saying it's hardware. The dealer refuses to work on it. Anymore, because they've had it two months and can do nothing with it

We were hit on I20, when the vehicles front air bags as well as the sos safety equipment (horns emergency hazard lights) failed. When hit we were pushed across three travel lanes into several cement barriers, collecting a semi truck traveling in the slow lane going 40+MPH. We all went down an embankment into a concrete runoff, into steep ditch. We were hit by a Dodge Charger on the driver side and a semi truck on the passenger side. Truck was totaled with major damage on all sides. We were also pulling a 30’ travel trailer that came apart and all the contents scattered across the ditch and side of the interstate. Police report is on file, I do not have a copy.

Unknown. This vehicle when driving and come to a complete stop will jerk forward. It has been to 2 different ford dealerships to assist with this issue and has been "covered" under transmission control module recall and reprogrammed as per their invoices, but has not fixed the issue. It is currently at the 2nd dealership while they are furthering this inspection.

Failure of a $70 thermocouple sensor in the air conditioning unit requires replacement of the entire evaporative cooler, which requires removal and reinstallation of the entire dash from the vehicle. This should be a part serviceable without such extensive work.

n October 28th, I left Atlanta, Georgia with a load going to Pittsburgh–Philadelphia. On October 29th, 2025, around 12:30 a.m., I was approximately two miles north of Birch River, West Virginia. While driving uphill at a steady speed of about 60–65 mph, I suddenly heard a loud popping sound, as if something had exploded or blown inside the engine. Right after that, the truck immediately lost power, and I pulled over to the shoulder as quickly as I could. As I was stopping, I saw flames coming through the hood directly in front of me, mostly from the driver’s side. I grabbed the fire extinguisher from inside my cab and opened the hood. On the driver’s side of the engine, I saw heavy flames coming out under high pressure. I emptied the entire extinguisher, but the fire did not stop. Then I ran to get my second extinguisher from the trailer and used it completely as well, but the flames kept burning. I noticed that strong flames were also coming from underneath the front driver’s side wheel area.
