1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Multiple critical factory components and electronic systems failed or malfunctioned on this vehicle: • Electronic Brake Control / eBoost Software System: The factory brake-life tracking software severely malfunctioned, miscalibrating the braking system metrics. Furthermore, despite subsequent system recalibration confirming over 90% friction material life remaining, the braking system continues to suffer from persistent, severe brake noise. • Exhaust / Emissions System: A premature mechanical failure occurred in the exhaust system, resulting in a loud passenger muffler defect. • Electrical Charging System: The primary vehicle battery suffered from a premature voltage drop/depletion and completely failed standard diagnostics. • Restraint System: The third-row head restraints suffered from a factory defect causing them to jam (subject to active Customer Satisfaction Program N262558680). • Inspection Availability: Yes. The vehicle, its electronic systems, and all diagnostic readouts/replaced components are fully available for physical or electronic inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Safety was compromised across multiple vectors: • Braking Unpredictability: Driving a family vehicle with an active, unaddressed brake system software defect and ongoing noise creates extreme uncertainty regarding emergency stopping capabilities and electronic brake-assist behavior. • Crash Injury Hazards: The jammed third-row head restraints directly compromise the effectiveness of the vehicle’s passive restraint system, increasing the risk of severe whiplash or head injuries to rear passengers (including children) in a collision. • Uncontrolled Stranding: The combination of a depleted primary battery and severe system faults puts occupants at risk of sudden electrical failure or entering "limp mode," risking power loss in high-speed or

The suspension issue was discovered when I took the vehicle to National Tire and Battery on 10/9/26 they discovered a bolt that is attached to the control arm was not bolted down down correctly and all threads seemed to be damaged as well as the knuckle assembly. There were no warning lights or messages to let me know there was something wrong. Just some shaking and jingling. The car fax shows the dealership replaced the control arm early July and I bought the vehicle late July.

I have a 2024 Chevy Traverse with 32,000 miles. It has been using a quart of oil every 4,000. Bulletin states less than 1 quart every 2,000 miles is okay. Unbelievable that a new car is allowed to use any oil. Did not know I purchased a two‑stroke engine. If someone does not check their oil they could be running 2 quarts or more low in between oil changes, which could damage the engine. Just checked my level, see photo. Drove 3,000 miles and the level was almost at the bottom of acceptable. I still have 60% oil life before the next change. After another 1,000 miles probably would have gone below the low line. Not good for the engine. Mentioned to the dealer during the first oil change and they started overfilling. Told them to stop that as that is not good for the engine. I am worried the engine will fail prematurely.

2024 Chevrolet Traverse, 2.5L turbo (LK0). The cooling system has repeatedly lost coolant through quick-connect hose fittings. On 4-3-2026, at 36,650 miles, Washington Chevrolet replaced the radiator inlet hose under warranty for coolant loss. After that repair the vehicle kept losing coolant, and I have had to top off the reservoir repeatedly. No low coolant warning or dash alert has ever appeared. On 10-14-2026, at 49,066 miles, the same dealer found the outlet hose at the coolant surge tank leaking, rated it Critical, and quoted $480.30 to replace it. The dealer declined warranty and goodwill coverage. Safety concern: coolant loss with no driver warning can lead to overheating, reduced power, or engine shutdown while driving, including at highway speed. GM has acknowledged quick-connect coolant leaks on this vehicle under Special Coverage N262546590 (radiator inlet hose, 2024-2026 Traverse) and bulletin PIT6494A (the same seal failure on GM's 2.7L turbo trucks). My second leak is at a different quick-connect in the same cooling system, which those programs do not cover. I am asking NHTSA to investigate the quick-connect coolant fittings across the entire LK0 cooling system, not just the radiator inlet.

When I purchased my car, I was given an alert from the brake sensor that the front pads needed service. I returned the car to the dealer and they were able to reset the alert. A few months later, I got another alert that the front brake pads were at 18%. My car was still under warranty and the brake sensors in the front were replaced, but the software update was not installed at this time. A few months after that, I got another alert that my front brake pads needed to be replaced. I took it up to the dealership and they finally performed the software update. This time my warranty was out, so I had to pay $424 for the software update for the brake sensors. This should be a recall. There is already a service alert: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving down the road and plactic trim piece where super cruise is at top of steering cracked popped off itself with that piece off its hard to steer properly without hitting inside of your hand I have to be careful not to get cut where plastic broke because its sharp. I had around 59900 miles when this happened 2 weeks ago. Cheverolet only sales the whole steering wheel and doesnt offer the 20.00 piece of plastic so the cost is closer to 2000 to get installed and new steering wheel. Ive had vehicle 2 years and 3 mos. Online there are lots of complaints on this and its common evidently. I reached out to cheverolet but they didnt help! I reached out to place where vehicle was purchased and even have there platinum extended warranty hendrix auto guard and said they dont cover trim only things that affect driving vehicle mechanical stuff etc. So even though it just plastic trim and only way to fix is get a new steering wheel they said they cant cover

Master cylinder failure on interstate caused complete loss of braking. No accident. Shop replaced master cylinder per GM bulletin. Warning light for brake assist failure came on and pedal went to the floor. This could’ve ended in a mass casualty situation, thank god we were in wide open territory and could coast to a stop which took over a mile in neutral.

- #11765109September 17, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
A software update caused the warning lights to go on and off despite no issues surrounding the vehicle (lane assist, forward collision warning). While driving on the interstate going 70MPH the forward collision light flashed a warning which then reduced the cars speed from 70MPH to 40MPH within a very short period of time. This is a huge safety concern and no accident happened as there were no other vehicles around at the time.

I have a 2024 chevy traverse. Purchased april 30, 2024. One of the 1st ones ever made. The rear windows no longer work. The switch makes a ticking sound but nothing happens. The front windows sometimes work. Sometimes not. And they pause when going back up. I am aware of GM bulletin 25-na-022 which emcompasses this exact failure for 24/25 chevy traverses. When i called GM Marietta told me thar my vehicle was not included in the bulletin. Even though i have the same exact problem listed in the GM bulletin! This is a documented factory part defect and GM is failing to address their failure. This could be a huge safety concern if we were unable to exit the vehicle though the windows if need be. This has been going on for months. My chevy dealership charged me $100 to just look at it and say it needs work.

The Defective Software Trigger: vehicle’s dashboard Brake Pad Life Monitor indicated the pads were low showing 19% roughly 3.5-4mm remaning life. Upon arrival to the dealership, I was informed that my rotors would also need to be resurfaced. I contested a mandatory rotor resurfacing policy. I openly disagreed with this arbitrary "store policy" but was forced to comply to get my vehicle serviced. The dealership stated they would refuse to replace the pads unless I paid out-of-pocket for an unnecessary resurfacing. The technician measured my pads at 7mm (over 60% of usable life remaining). My vehicle did not need brakes; it was suffering from a known factory software bug detailed in GM Bulletin 25-NA-029. Rather than identifying this warranty glitch, I was forced to pay for unnecessary vehicle repairs. The technician machined my front rotors and installed new pads. On my way home, the vehicle exhibited severe, violent steering wheel shaking under braking at highway speeds. The technician completely failed to check for runout or machine the rotors evenly. I was forced to drive 90 miles home with a violently vibrating steering system. I called the dealership but the facility was closed. To correct a severe safety hazard caused entirely by the shop, I had to drive an additional 90 miles back to the dealership (a 180-mile total round trip) on compromised brakes. I requested that the dealership replace the ruined rotors and pads at their expense. Management refused instead, to force the shaking to stop and avoid paying for hardware, the dealership refunded the original resurfacing fee (Driver side rotor 29.89mm to 1st resurface 29.20m- Passenger side 29.80mm to 1st resurface 29.25mm) and machined my front J61 rotors a Second time, cutting them down to 27.80mm Driver side and 27.59 mm on my passenger side. I have contacted corporate but I've had no resolution.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the rear driver's side window failed to open or close while depressing the buttons on the driver's door and on the passenger's door to control the window. While depressing the brake pedal to attempt to slow down, and while in reverse, the brakes were squeaking. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for the window failure. The dealer diagnosed that the brake pads had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 43,632.

The driver window may not roll up or down, or it may stop working after you press the button. HOW IS THAT NOT KNOWN ISSUE FOR MY VEHICLE VIN I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE DEALING WITH THESE KNOWN PROBLEMS ON A BRAND NEW ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD VEHICLE AT ALL ITS FRUSTRATING TO DEAL WITH VEHICLE PROBLEMS WITH A BRAND NEW PURCHASED VEHICLE ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE IS THE BRAKES THAT SQUEAK OF COURSE GM SAID UNLESS I WAS UNDER CERTAIN MILEAGE IT CAN BE FIXED LIKE HOW IS THAT EVEN FAIR FOR THE OWNER TO EVEN HANDLE ON THEIR OWN OUT OF POCKET COST. THIS IS INSANELY CRAZY TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH KNOWN ISSUES ON A VEHICLE AND NOTHING CAN EVEN BEEN DONE . YOU ALL NEED TO LOOK INTO MY VIN # AND FIND THE ISSUE WITH THE General Motors Technical Service Bulletin GM TSB 25-NA-022 Driver Window Stuck or Intermittent Operation Concerns BUT OF COURSE MY VEHICLE VIN HAS NOT EVEN BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM BUT IT IS KNOWN ISSUE? There was a sent out that GM dealers needed to at no cost provide the software update to several vehicles due to a software issue that puts out an emergency warning that the brakes are wearing and are critically low when in fact they are not. Without the new software vehicle owners cannot manually reset the notification even after changing their brakes. I recently took my truck to David Chevrolet who advised me I needed to pay $193 for this software update which goes against the notice from GM and the DOT. I’m now driving without my brake monitoring system on because the dealership will not update my software. I’m filing a complaint because I should not need my brakes changed again by the dealership as I have already replaced perfectly good brakes because I didn’t know there was a software problem. My vehicle is well under the 36k mile and is only two years old.

I am reporting a serious safety incident involving my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse RS AWD, with approximately 34,378 miles. On or about [XXX], while the vehicle was being driven near Sarasota Florida at approximately 25 mph, it suddenly lost propulsion and all electrical power. The instrument panel, displays and vehicle electrical systems went completely dark. The vehicle was completely dead and would not restart. Police subsequently jump-started it, but the vehicle’s systems did not initially operate normally. This vehicle previously experienced another complete electrical-power failure while parked overnight, and the dealership has a record of that incident. Following the in-motion shutdown, the dealership performed a complete software flash using USB and stated that a software problem may have caused a parasitic battery draw. I understand how a parasitic draw could discharge the battery while the vehicle is parked. However, I have not received an adequate explanation of why the vehicle lost all electrical power while the engine was running and the charging system should have been supplying power. I am requesting that General Motors open a formal product-safety case, review the dealership’s diagnostic and programming records, determine the complete cause of the in-motion shutdown, and provide written confirmation of the tests and repairs performed. Please provide me with the GM case number and escalate the matter for appropriate technical or field review. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I am writing to express my disappointment with the quality and reliability of my vehicle. Since purchasing it, I have had to return it to the dealership on five separate occasions due to ongoing defects and mechanical issues. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the Super Cruise system failed to function properly and required service. At approximately 15,000 miles, I was informed that the brake pads were already excessively worn and needed replacement, which I believe is premature for a vehicle with such low mileage. Most recently, the check engine light illuminated, requiring another visit to the dealership for diagnosis and repair. These repeated issues have caused significant inconvenience, wasted time, and disrupted my daily life. I purchased this vehicle expecting it to be safe, dependable, and of high quality. Instead, I have experienced recurring problems that have seriously affected my confidence in the vehicle. Given the number of repair visits and the ongoing defects, I respectfully request that General Motors review my case and provide an appropriate resolution. I would appreciate a prompt response and a fair remedy to address these continuing issues. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

There is a known issue with the software / brake monitoring system with the 2024 Chevy traverse. The brake pad sensor is faulty and the vehicles warning system tells you that your brake pads are critically low when in reality they are not. Even after you change the brakes and put a new sensor you cannot clear the notification. The only way to reset this is to either take it to the dealership for them to change your brakes or pay $200 to obtain the fix for the software. Now this is bricks maintenance meaning as the consumer you should be able to maintain your vehicle on your own but GM has made this impossible which will force the consumer to turn off their brake monitoring system to remove the faulty warning. This is a safety risk for the consumer and the other people on the roads. This update should be done free of charge but they refuse to do it.

VEHICLE: 2024/2025 Chevrolet Traverse RS COMPONENT: Electronic eBoost Brake Master Cylinder Assembly DESCRIPTION: Within a few months of purchasing the vehicle, the brake pedal began exhibiting excessive free play (long pedal travel) and significantly delayed stopping behavior, particularly dangerous at highway speeds. The vehicle requires substantially more stopping distance than normal, creating an imminent rear-end collision risk. This defect has been brought to the dealership's attention twice already. The vehicle was just serviced and returned for this same issue. After each service visit, the brakes temporarily function normally for only 500 to 1,000 miles before the dangerous delayed braking behavior returns. Previous dealer repairs included bleeding the brake lines and updating the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) software — both failed to permanently resolve the issue. The root cause appears to be an internal bypass leak within the electronic eBoost brake master cylinder assembly, where defective internal rubber cartridge seals allow pressurized fluid to slip past them over time, progressively degrading braking performance until the next service intervention. This is a REPEAT safety failure. The vehicle has been serviced for this identical brake defect TWICE, and the condition returns each time within 500–1,000 miles of the repair. This issue is documented under GM Service Update N242482170 and TSB 25-NA-029, and is the subject of active class-action litigation affecting 2024–2025 GM SUVs. The driver and all vehicle occupants are placed at serious risk of injury or death due to the inability to stop the vehicle within a safe distance during normal highway driving conditions.
