2027 MINI Countryman Untamed Edition Debuts with Off-Road Focus

MINI has announced the upcoming release of the 2027 Countryman Untamed Edition, an adventure-focused variant designed for increased off-road capability. This new edition combines the versatility of the Countryman with features aimed at supporting outdoor activities. Production is set to begin in November 2026, with the market launch scheduled for early 2027.

Enhanced Off-Road Capability

The 2027 MINI Countryman Untamed Edition features several upgrades to improve its performance beyond paved roads. A suspension lift of 15 millimeters increases ground clearance by up to 19 millimeters, depending on the market and powertrain variant. This suspension lift will be available for all Untamed Edition variants in the United States and Canada, while in Europe, it will be offered exclusively on the all-electric models.

Newly developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires, mounted on exclusive 19-inch light-alloy wheels, provide additional traction. These all-terrain tires are standard on the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition in North America. The vehicle's ABS, DSC, and steering systems have been specifically calibrated to accommodate the revised suspension setup and all-terrain tires, working with the intelligent ALL4 all-wheel drive system for confident handling.

The Untamed Edition offers practical utility for outdoor adventures, with an optional tow bar allowing a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kilograms. The roof load capacity is rated at 75 kilograms while driving and up to 300 kilograms when stationary.

Distinctive Design and Features

The exterior of the 2027 MINI Countryman Untamed Edition features a newly interpreted front grille with angular inserts and a contoured surround finished in Dark Steel. New side sill designs, redesigned front and rear underbody protection elements, and a sculpted rear diffuser contribute to a more robust appearance. Textured matt black protective films on the wheel arches, side sills, and Power Dome offer protection against stone chips.

The 19-inch “Untamed Edition Spoke” light-alloy wheels are inspired by classic off-road steel wheels. Exterior colors developed for the edition include Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue, and Frozen Nomad Blue, with Nanuq White and Midnight Black also available. Frozen Nomad Blue is the first matt exterior paint finish for MINI series production. Interior details include Vescin Nightshade Blue sports seats with knitted surfaces, a Millennial Melange color tone for the dashboard and door panels, and Dark Steel accents throughout the cabin.

Outdoor Lifestyle Integration

MINI has expanded its outdoor offering for the Countryman Untamed Edition through partnerships with AUTOHOME and HELINOX. A roof tent, developed jointly with Italian specialist AUTOHOME, can be opened quickly using integrated gas struts. This tent features weather-resistant materials, panoramic openings, and a glass-fiber reinforced construction for durability.

Additionally, MINI has partnered with outdoor equipment specialist HELINOX to create an exclusive camping collection. This collection includes folding chairs and camping tables designed for functionality, lightweight construction, and portability, aligning with the Untamed Edition's distinctive design language.

The 2027 MINI Countryman Untamed Edition is available at launch for the MINI Countryman C, MINI Countryman D, MINI Countryman S ALL4, and the all-electric MINI Countryman E and MINI Countryman SE ALL4 variants.
