The No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 placed sixth in the GTD PRO category, while the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 achieved a ninth-place finish in the GTD class. No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3's Race at Road America

The No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3, driven by Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat, finished sixth in the GTD PRO competition. The team faced an early challenge, starting from the rear of the field due to issues encountered during Saturday's practice and qualifying sessions. Despite this setback, Hawksworth and Barnicoat maintained a position within the top 10 for the majority of the six-hour endurance race.

A strategic pit stop made by the Vasser Sullivan team with less than two hours remaining allowed the No. 14 car to move up to second place on the subsequent restart. Hawksworth held this position for his entire stint. However, the race strategy did not ultimately favor them in the final stages, leading to their sixth-place result.

GTD Class Efforts

In the GTD class, the No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3, piloted by Aaron Telitz, Benjamin Pedersen, and Frankie Montecalvo, secured a ninth-place finish. Frankie Montecalvo began the race in 12th position and successfully advanced the car into the top 10 during his initial stint.

The team encountered a setback when a speeding penalty in the pit lane after the second stint dropped the No. 12 entry to the back of the GTD field. Benjamin Pedersen then took over and managed to bring the car back into the top 10 before handing it off to Aaron Telitz for the final segments of the race, ultimately crossing the finish line in ninth.

The Vasser Sullivan team's performance at Road America adds to their established record in IMSA racing. Lexus is currently in its tenth season competing in the IMSA GTD class and its fifth year in the GTD PRO category.
