BMW Highlights iX3 and i7 Driver Assistance Features

BMW has launched the next phase of its global innovation campaign, showcasing digital technologies and intelligent features available in the BMW iX3 and BMW i7. This campaign highlights advancements in driver assistance, artificial intelligence, and electric vehicle charging performance, underscoring the evolution of BMW iX3 i7 technology.

Advanced Driver Assistance with Symbiotic Drive

Two films from the campaign focus on BMW Symbiotic Drive, a driver assistance technology introduced with the BMW iX3, the first model in the Neue Klasse series. This system is designed to integrate human and artificial intelligence, ensuring the driver remains actively involved in the driving process.

BMW Symbiotic Drive allows drivers to provide acceleration, steering, or braking inputs even when driver assistance systems are engaged. This capability prevents the immediate deactivation of the assistance system, promoting a more fluid and collaborative driving experience.

The BMW Panoramic iDrive features clear operating logic and displays, which contribute to intuitive assisted driving. This design ensures that human intervention is possible at any time, maintaining driver control.

This symbiotic partnership between the driver and vehicle also extends to active safety features, including the Lane Departure Warning. The goal is to make every drive more pleasant and less strenuous for the driver.

Enhanced In-Car Intelligence and Entertainment

The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, which also debuted in the BMW iX3, has been upgraded with new Amazon Alexa+ AI technology. This integration expands the assistant's functionality, allowing for more natural conversations on various topics.

The enhanced assistant can directly link these conversations with vehicle functions, providing a more comprehensive and responsive user experience. This aims to improve the interaction between the driver and the vehicle's digital systems.

For passenger entertainment, the BMW i7 includes a 14.6-inch Passenger Screen as a standard feature. This display allows front passengers to watch films and series, offering an additional layer of comfort and distraction during journeys.

Rapid Charging for the BMW iX3

The BMW iX3, as part of the Neue Klasse models, demonstrates significant advancements in charging performance. The vehicle is capable of charging at speeds of up to 400 kW.

This high-power charging capability substantially reduces charging times for the electric SUV. A brief 10-minute stop at a compatible High-Power Charging (HPC) station can extend the BMW iX3's range by up to 372 kilometers.

Such rapid recharging performance means that charging breaks can be considerably shorter, allowing drivers to resume their journeys more quickly. This addresses a common concern for electric vehicle owners regarding the duration of charging stops.
