BMW Motorrad Unveils M 1000 RR Isle of Man TT Limited Edition

BMW Motorrad has revealed a special M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT model, created to mark the 115th running of the iconic Tourist Trophy in 2026. Production of this exclusive motorcycle will be strictly limited to 115 units, emphasizing its collector value and unique status within the BMW M 1000 RR lineup.

This limited edition is based on the high-performance BMW M 1000 RR M Competition variant, excluding the pillion package. It integrates specific design elements and equipment features that pay homage to the historic road race.

Exclusive Design and Equipment

The design of the BMW M 1000 RR Isle of Man TT edition is distinguished by its British Racing Green Uni Matt paint finish. This is complemented by specific TT graphics, which depict selected sections of the Mountain Course, with left-hand turns on the left fairing and right-hand turns on the right fairing.

Further unique elements include a carbon airbox cover featuring the TT course layout and logo, an Alcantara-finished seat, and an aluminum tank with graphic accents. Each of the 115 motorcycles will feature milled numbering on the top yoke and come with a certificate of authenticity. The package also includes an M Race Cover Kit, a black swingarm, TT branding on the rear frame, a rear workstand, assembly stand mounting, and an M motorcycle mat.

A Legacy of Racing Success

BMW Motorrad has a long-standing connection to the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, dating back to Georg Meier's victory in the Senior TT in 1939 on the BMW RS 255 Kompressor. Another notable success came in 1976 when Helmut Dähne and Hans-Otto Butenuth won the 1,000 cc Production class on a BMW R 90 S.

In the modern era, BMW Motorrad has continued its success on the Mountain Course with the S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR models. Michael Dunlop achieved a breakthrough in the 1,000 cc class in 2014 on an BMW S 1000 RR. Peter Hickman has been a dominant force, securing multiple victories, including a hat-trick in 2022 across the Superbike, Superstock, and Senior TT races on BMW motorcycles. In 2023, Hickman set an all-time lap record on the TT Mountain Course with a time of 16:36.115 minutes, achieving an average speed of 136.358 mph on a BMW M 1000 RR in Superstock specification. Davey Todd further demonstrated the M 1000 RR's performance with a Superbike victory in 2025.
