The contact did not know whether there were warning lights illuminated as he was knocked unconscious when the accident occurred. The contact was transported to the hospital with the assistance of emergency units. The contact sustained a severe concussion, lacerations on the forehead, bruised ribs, pulled muscles behind his heart. The contact had been seeking medical assistance. A police report was filed. UNKNOWN Dashborad on my Toyota is very sticky and Toyota customer service told me that there was a recall back in April 2018 and it expired in Dec 2020. They mailed me a notice but I never recieved that noticed. Because during the same time I sold my property and moved to TEXAS from California. May be that is why I did not recieved that noticed. So now my concern is What causing the dashboard to be sticky? Is there any chemical that causing the dashboard to be sticky and how it may effect if somebody's health if he is keep driving the car with sticky dashboard? Is there any way to get recall details of why the dashboard is sticky? Toyota don't want to answere any of these questions.The only thing they told me that "It was not a safety recall, it was a part of customer support program". How they decide that it was not a safety issue? Have they done any investigation and proof that it is not a safety issue? If they did then why can't they give that information to customer? So I will please request NHTSA to investigate this sticky dashboard issue to make sure there is no health safety issue. Otherwise I will be putting my and my family health on risk. If there is any health issue due to any chemical in dashboard which cause it to be sticky then this recall should have been mandotary which usually don't have any expiry. I will appreciate your cooperation and any information regarding the recall regarding this sticky dashboard and how it effect on somebody health. thanks

Note - three similar incidents within 20 minutes. Incident 1 - When pulling out of a parking lot and into traffic my 2019 Camry lost power and would not accelerate. It took me several seconds trying to figure out what was happening. I first thought engine stalled but that was not the case. I noticed a message pop up (and quickly disappear) on the dash display saying to "release the accelerator pedal" (may not be exact wording of the message as it happened very quickly). I took my foot off the accelerator pedal for a few seconds and then was able to regain acceleration control. When first starting to pull out of the parking lot the vehicle accelerated normally. I originally had more than ample time to pull out into the traffic but after the incident cars were stopping behind me as I was coasting. I had all other control (steering and braking). Incident 2 - (Five minutes after incident 1) When doing a slow easy U-turn, my Camry lost power and would not accelerate. Again my first thought was that the engine stalled but that was not the case. A message popped up (and quickly disappeared) on the dash display but I had no time to read it as I was trying to get out of traffic. I believe it was similar to "release the accelerator pedal". I took my foot off the accelerator pedal for a couple of seconds and then was able to regain acceleration control. Incident 3 - (about 5 minutes after incident 2). When pulling into the center turn lane from the normal travel lane, my Camry lost power and would not accelerate. I first thought the engine stalled but again that was not the case. I noticed a much longer message pop up (and quickly disappear) on the dash display but I had no time to read it. I took my foot off the accelerator pedal for a couple of seconds and then was able to regain acceleration control.

My Issue was LOW BREAKING POWER in other words i couldn't stop on some of these 2018 camry le there was an recall for the brake vacuum pump something about not being machined right some kind of oil leak my car was not part of it but my pump went out for that reason while i was driving back from tahoe DAM LUCKY IT DIDN"T HAPPEN COMING DOWN THE HILL now i have to cash out about 1000 did my car slip threw the crack what can i do can i get my money back THIS COULD HAVE ENDED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TORQUE CONVERTER, (UPON ACCELERATION VEHICLE DELAY IN ACCELERATING/SHIFTING AND ABNORMAL HEAVY VIBRATION/SHUDDERING FELT ), I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE TRYING TO CHANGE LANE A FEW TIMES, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ACCELERATE/SHIFTING CORRECTLY/DELAYED,(MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE IN THE VEHICLE), TOOK THE VEHCILE TO TOYOTA DEALER, SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME THAT THE TECH COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONCERN, WHEN CLEARLY THERE IS A PROBLEM, DID SOME READING/RESEARCH ONLINE ALOT OF CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING TOYOTA TURNING A BLIND EYE WHEN IT COME TO THIS SPECIFIC CONCERN ( TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDERING) THEY GIVING CUSTOMER THE RUNNING AROUND,NO WARNING LAMP ON WHEN PROBLEM OCCUR.

When I press the button to start my 2020 Camry it has difficulty starting. It chugs/lags. It also smells of coolant/antifreeze when this happens. It has done this since the day I leased it. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealership 3 times and each time I’m told that they hooked it up to their computer and can’t find anything wrong and they can’t replicate the problem. I have had several witnesses/passengers inside and outside my vehicle who have heard the starting issue and commented on coolant smell. To date, my vehicle only has 7000 miles on it.

I purchased this vehicle on 01/12/2021 from Toyota of Greenville, SC. I was initially told that the vehicle was a Certified Pre-Owned Toyota, which means it went through an intensive reconditioning process and passed all certification requirements. As I was signing the papers to purchase the car, I was told that it could not be sold as a Certified vehicle because it has the open manufacturer recall #20TA02. It has been almost 9 months and I have not received any notice of a pending fix for this potentially deadly recall, summarized below. SUMMARY: The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. SAFETY RISK: If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash. REMEDY: Any authorized Toyota dealer will replace the low-pressure fuel pump with an improved one FREE OF CHARGE. I am hesitant to take the vehicle on a long trip or take it on the highway. I do not want to be stranded during my trip or die if the fuel pump shuts off at high speed. I have been purchasing Toyota products since 2000. I am feeling very abused and and neglected buy what I thought was a safe and reliable brand. I will be in the market for another vehicle soon. Now, I am not sure Toyota is the only brand to consider. Please let them know that I am not a happy customer because of this ongoing problem with their Number 1 Selling vehicle. THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING. THUS, IT HAS BECOME SHINY AND HINDERS VIEW SIGNIFICANTLY. IN ORDER TO DRIVE. A DARK CLOTH, ETC IS PLACED ON DASH TO ELIMINATE SHINE AND RESTORE PROPER VIEWING. IN ADDITION BOTH VISORS ARE REMOVED DUE TO FLOPPING DOWNWARD. AS A RESULT, THERE IS NO PREVENTION OF SUN GLARE WHILE DRIVING. THE COMBINATION OF BOTH ISSUES MAKES FOR A DANGEROUS DRIVING EXPERIENCE WHICH CAUSES MUCH ANXIETY. BOTH ISSUES WERE RECALLS BUT AS THE 2ND OWNER I WAS NOT CONTACTED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THIS IS A 2010 CAMRY WHICH I PURCHASED IN 2012.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Upon backing up out of a parking space, the car was put in drive and accelerated excessively. It accelerated and didnt allow actions to control the vehicle. The airbags were deployed so we assumed it accelerated to at least 35 mph. The vehicle slammed into a brick wall. The driver was injured upon impact suffering seven fractured ribs, a broken sternum and severe lacerations and bruising from the knees down. The vehicle has been inspected by the material damage adjuster of the insurance company. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer to date. There were on warnings prior to the accident.
