Recall ZA3 Heavy Duty Truck Transmission Dipstick. I received this recall one year ago in November 2022. I called my dealer to get it in for service, they told me those were on back order for 3-6 months. I kept checking back with them in May 2023, and also in August 2023 and was told both times parts were still on back order. Still NOT fixed, and it’s really worrying!!

This recall has NOT been fixed by the dealer since I had it there December 20, 2021 with the original recall Y76. I’ve received two more recalls for the Intake Air Grid Heater Relay 13A, have taken it in for service 2x now for it and am told still that parts are on back order. I’ve been told this since December 2021.

On 7/29/2023 was told my Rear Differential fluid was low by a non-dealer service provider. They stated no leak was detected, but the fluid was low and they topped it off as part of their stated service. In reviewing my previous oil changes performed at dealerships it states that only an inspection for a leak was done for differential units. Which leads me to believe that the truck came from the manufacturer with the reduced amount of fluid. This could still result in failed parts due to the unit not having the sufficient amount of lubricants for 33,000 miles. Which could lead to an accident involving myself and other vehicles. Each dealer now states that it is up to me to cover the cost of having it investigated due to it not being detected by a Ram Dealership. When, in truth, it would have never been found due to their "multi point inspection" parameters. The only time it would have been detected by a dealership is after a safety incident had already occurred.

11/21 purchased a 2022 Ram 2500 Tradesman level 2. Have been experiencing multiple issues since the purchase. Here is the MOST concerning at this time: On February 11, 2023 was at a stop sign when it felt like the truck was hit from behind. Looked in rearview mirror and there was no vehicle behind me. Was able to get it into a dealer on March 2, 2023 to get checked out. They only drove for one mile and stated no issue. Also stated that since no error code showed on the computer, then there is not an issue. This intermittent issue continues with multiple visits to dealerships with the same outcome: they are not able to duplicate the issue and no code is showing on the computer. My safety concern is the truck could lurch forward and hit someone walking through an intersection or another vehicle that is stopped in front of me when an assured clear distance is not possible. Or someone could think traffic was moving forward and hit me from behind. Example: during rush hour traffic assured clear distance is left, but other drivers see that as an opening and pull in front of me. Also, not everyone leaves a safe distance between vehicles. It happened 2 times on my drive last night alone. Rush hour is stressful enough without the added issue of not trusting my truck to perform safely. No warning lights or gauges show up when the issue is happening. Have engaged with Stellantis Customer Care. Was informed by one customer care associate they had a case just like this one for another customer. They did not provide a resolution to this case.

I received a letter from FCA concerning recall 97A NHTSA recall 23V-654 and the directions for the recall suggest that I can do an OTA update or as the video linked in the recall suggest a download from [XXX] to correct this issue. I cannot get either resource to work to correct this issue described in the recall. This website and OTA updates for issues is a known problem with FCA products and suggests they do not care about correcting the metrics outlined in the recall. I would like for the file to be available or if they do not want them to be downloadable at least the OTA update system work or mail the files to the customer. the vehicle has been inspected by an independent engineer from Bosch, supplied by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), it indicates that an expert assessment has been conducted. In this case, the following answers can be provided based on that information: 1. Components or systems that failed or malfunctioned: - Half shaft axle front left - Wheel assembly - Brake rotor disc - Suspension - Drive shaft - Transfer case - Right front axle shaft - Right front caliper - Right front caliper bolts 2. Availability for inspection upon request: The availability of the failed components for inspection may depend on the specific arrangements made between the vehicle owner and the independent engineer from Bosch. It is recommended to contact the engineer or FCA for further information regarding inspection availability. 3. Safety risks: Considering the multiple component failures mentioned, there is a significant safety risk not only to yourself but also to others. These failures can lead to loss of vehicle control, compromised braking, and potential accidents or collisions. 4. Confirmation by the independent engineer: Since the vehicle has been inspected by an independent engineer from Bosch, it suggests that the problems have been reproduced and confirmed. The engineer's evaluation should provide valuable insights into the nature and causes of the failures. 5. Inspection by manufacturer, police, insurance representative, or others: The information provided indicates that an independent engineer from Bosch, supplied by FCA, has inspected the vehicle. However, it is not specified whether the vehicle or its components have been inspected by other parties such as the manufacturer, police, or insurance representative. 6. Warning lamps, messages, or symptoms: Over the past months and throughout the last year, you have experienced multiple issues with the four-wheel drive system and e

- #11546544September 26, 2023FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
My 2022 Ram 2500 with only 9,900 miles failed to start requiring it be towed to the dealership. The dealer reported the fuel injector harness had failed and replaced it but then it started throwing other codes. The technician determined there was metal shavings in high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) so they contacted Ram engineers and started a STAR case. After two months and countless "pictures" taken and sent the the Ram engineers, they claim it was contaminated fuel which caused the metal shavings to be found in the HPFP. The engineers stated that there were no metal shavings found in the return filter so the metal shaving came from "contaminated fuel." This logic is impossible because for metal shavings to make it from the fuel tank to the HPFP and be visible they must travel through two fuel filter, one of which filters down to 5 microns. The dealership acknowledged the engineers logic didn't make sense to them either. The return filter showed some debris but if metal shavings can pass through a 5 micron paper filter than it would also pass through the metal screen found on the return line inside the tank. Ram is refusing to honor their warranty and trying to stick me with the bill even after they already are aware of a faulty fuel pump in their trucks.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH and towing a load, the air bag warning light illuminated. After a visual inspection of the engine compartment, the contact observed that both air bag fuses were blown. After restarting the vehicle, it seemed to return to normal functionality, but the contact experienced additional electrical failures with the electronic stability control activated, cruise control disabled, the seat belt warning light illuminated, and the SOS call system warning light illuminated. Additionally, the trailer brakes system warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The contact replaced the blown fuses, and the warning lights and system failures were resolved. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 17,500.

This is the second time this is happening, first time June 30 2023 it was towed to rainbow ram in Covington because it lost power and multiple warning lights came on, service shifter appeared in message center, truck got home and wouldn't shift, then wouldn't start. Theyouldn't find the problem I was told they detected high voltage and checked for loose connection but couldn't find any issue despite having the truck more than a week. On August 3rd while driving on i10 in Alabama the truck had a sudden drop in power and start decelerating almost every warning light came on the dash with multiple message in the message center. It is currently at tameron ram in Alabama. The put it on a computer that showed almost every control module has failed. RAM will not guarantee to provide me a rental truck and the dealer can't tell me how long they will have it. To be clear I have no complaint aboutTameron ram staff. The last message on the display said to stop the truck in a safe place and that it may not start again. While tri g to get to the dealer it was going crazy with different lights and windshield wipers turning on by themselves.
