The rear brake pads as well as the rear brake caliber on these model vehicles and brakes keeps going bad extremely fast. This car is only 2 1/2 years old and I’ve already had to spend $1100 on parts for brake calibers. It is a known fact that the manufacturer Does not have the parts in stock. They are back order for 2 to 3 weeks. This is extreme safety issue and can prevent for cars from operating and stopping safely it’s smoothly I’ve had to replace my rear brake pad four times within a year.

The engine would shift out of drive into neutral while driving on the road. It one time shifted into park while pulling out of my driveway and left me stuck in the middle of the road for several seconds before it would allow me to shift back to drive. This has been continuous throughout. I reported to Nissan with no action from them. Sunroof leaks At 93,000 miles and regular maintenance (at home) the engine seized and they are saying sludge. I know it has been maintained so there has to be a separate cause. We had routine maintenance, the report from Nissan all along provided no engine issues or no oil pressure issues.

2023 Nissan Pathfinder Mileage: 51,180 I have replaced the rear rotors twice and rear pads twice since buying this vehicle NEW. In researching using Artificial Intelligence, I find that there is an abnormal frequency of this issue with nissan products. I am asking for an investigation into the cause for this and for remuneration from the manufacturer for the expenses I have incurred. I question the effectiveness of the electronic parking brake. Is it completely releasing the pads from contact?

Gas Pedal broke completely off while accelerating to merge. Took it to the dealership and they ordered a new gas pedal and made the repair. There was no prior warning of anything wrong. This could have caused us to have a wreck when we were accelerating to merge and all of the sudden the gas pedal just busted off and the car dramatically slows down. Definitely a safety issue.

Transmission started slipping when I was getting on the Interstate. It was revving very loud but car would not move. I almost got hit from behind. This car is not even 3 years old. I am very concerned for my safety. I should still be in warranty for this issue.

I purchased a brand-new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder on December 18, 2024. Just seven days later, at only 1,198 miles, the transmission completely failed while driving, causing the vehicle to come to an unexpected stop and then shift into reverse without warning. This created a serious safety hazard for my family and other road users. The vehicle was out of service for 28 days due to delays in repairs. Even after the transmission was replaced, ongoing issues persist, including poor fuel economy. Nissan has denied my request for a replacement or refund, despite the severity of the failure and continued safety concerns. This vehicle poses a serious safety risk, and I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue further.

vehicle shut down mid intersection turn. Had to be towed away to the dealership. 5 days later after having "issues" with diagnosing they said it has oil sludge and the engine seized due to this. The vehicle has been maintained and has less than 100,000 miles. I find this very concerning and believe there is an issue with the quality of the engine

- #11650485March 25, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
3-25-25 I got into my car at approximately 7:20 am with my children to take them to school and as soon as I drove out of my driveway I noticed a warning light flashing on my dashboard. I drove for maybe a mile before pulling over to turn my car off and back on to see if it would go away. I also called my husband to inform him and he looked it up to see what the light was. He said it was the automatic emergency braking (AEB) warning light. I turned the car back on and started to drive again but the warning light came back on, at this time I was crossing a railroad track, and my car stopped accelerating. The engine would rev up but not accelerate. I immediately looked down to see if I was in Drive and it was. At that moment a train was approaching and the train whistle was blowing and so I quickly tried to put the car in park and turn it off and back on and at that time I was able to drive my car across the tracks out of harms way thankfully. It was terrifying knowing a train was that close and my kids and I were stuck in a brand new vehicle that would not drive across the tracks. I pulled over unable to get fully off the road and turned the car off and on again and was able to drive it back home without further incident but the AEB warning light remained on until I got home. This sensor is an absolute danger and could have gotten me or my children killed.

- #11650470March 25, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On 03/25/2025, at 7:20 a.m., my wife, on the way to drop off the kids at school, called me and said a light came on the dash and the car was stalled on the railroad track, and a train was coming. I could hear the train whistle blowing. The car would not move off the tracks and she didn't know what the light meant. She said she turned off the car and started it again and got it off the tracks before the train could hit her, but the car was still stuck in the road. I looked online and discovered it was the Automatic Emergency Brake System warning. She was able to turn around and get back home safely with the kids. I can't describe how frightening that was and I can't describe my emotions toward the Nissan electrical engineers that would chance killing my family to install some useless unwanted technology!

- #11649268March 19, 2025AIR BAGS, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The car was involved in a collision into a jersey barrier on the left side of the vehicle at high speed that is 60 mph first the none of the airbags deployed and including the front airbags driver knee airbags or the curtain side airbags. Next, the driver‘s Apple Watch confirmed that we were in a collision and was able to call 911 where the safety features within the vehicle did not make any notification that we were in a collision, nor is it reflected within the Nissan app that there was a collision after the fact. Additional safety features for an accident are supposed to include four ways being automatically turned on in the car, unlocking the passengers had to engage the 4-way lights and the passenger side front had to unlock the car to be assisted by Paramedics. Additionally, the back driver side tire is completely flat and reads as such within the app at 0 PSI however, the front driver side passenger tire is ripped from its rim and still reading fully at 39 psi. Despite the car being unable to start, additionally, the app is showing that all systems are fine within the car. Finally, the brakes the driver stated their foot was all the way to the floor attempting to break and the passenger front side also heard a severe grinding noise. No warning, lights or lamps appeared during the accident. In addition no warning lights were visible within the app post accident. Finally, there was not an alert sent through the app. Insurance company has considered the car totaled. These have been unable to be reproduced. We have requested that our insurance save and document everything in our insurance, USAA has been unresponsive at this time. Our car has already been moved to Copart Philadelphia and is potentially pending auction. We have requested documentation multiple times.

- #11648663March 17, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
Blind Spot Warning system is malfunctioning. Can provide inspection upon request. The absence of Blind Spot Warning poses lane changing/highway driving a danger to vehicle operator and others while the vehicle must be at speeds of 20MPH or higher to be active. Problem was identified by dealer. Dealer indicated Blind Spot Warning checked as indicated on carfax report. Warning lamp indicator was acknowledged prior to failure. As the new owner it first appeared on 14 March 2025. I assume it is reoccurring problem indicated by the carfax report.

At 42,000 my rear breaks failed. Needing to replace all components of my rear breaks. Now there is a national back order on parts which shouldn’t be a problem for this new of a vehicle.

- #11646787March 6, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Stopped at light the car suddenly bolted forward hitting ( 4-5 ft between vehicles)car infront. My car then bolted forward and hit the vehicle again. The gear shift would not respond to putting it into park, The only way it was corrected was turn off the engine. Second time this happened was in my garage..the car bolted in reverse and would not stop. until engine turned off. I took the car to the dealer and he said my sensors were bent....(from hitting the car) and we waited 5 hours for Nissan tech to respond, which I left the dealership and told them to let me know what the tech reps said. But I was charged $247.00 for estimate and told the replacement of sensors would be $2,970.29.

- #11645464February 28, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The auto stop/start function. When enabled sometimes it shuts off engine and does not restart as the system should. Stopping at a red light, almost completely but light turns green and you go to accelerate but auto/stop shuts engine off and car dies in middle of intersection. You have to put in park restart engine and put in drive. Has happened to us 4 times with only 14k on car. Shop can’t seem to see what wrong. Car dies set faults but as soon as you restart car faults go away and Nissan says they can’t see any stored faults. They changed fuel pump put it did. It did not fix the issue. Happens again.

- #11645414February 27, 2025POWER TRAIN, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Transmission malfunction/failure caused loss of all power and had to coast over 3 lanes to the only available shoulder on the left side of the express lanes. This in and of itself could have been catastrophic due to the speed of the vehicles on the express lanes. Turns out there's a failure point on the flexplate and nissan techs are aware of the issue. Nissan as a whole should replace them if this is the result.

- #11639867January 31, 2025SEAT BELTS
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the seat belt alert system failed to operate as needed. The contact stated that even though all the occupants in the vehicle were wearing their seat belts, the system indicated that the seat belts were not in use, causing an audible warning chime to sound throughout the driving trip. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was purchased; Dimmitt Chevrolet (25485 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33763), and the contact was informed that the repair would not be covered under the warranty purchased by the contact through the dealer and was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer; Crown Nissan (5151 34th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33714); where a diagnostic test was performed on the vehicle, and it was believed that the failure might have started after removing the third-row seat. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 32,400.
