  The current internal software programming for the EV-ECU is incompatible with the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment charger produced by Clipper Creek. Use of a Clipper Creek charger could potentially damage the internal components within the i-MiEV electrical system. If this damage occurs, it could potentially affect the i-MiEV's ability to start. This bulletin describes the procedures necessary to update the software programming of the EV-ECU to ensure compatibility between an i-MiEV and the Clipper Creek EVSE.
