POWER TRAIN
The transmission is starting to malfunction and is available for inspection. If the car looses power due to loss of pull it could create a hazard. Vehicle has been Inspected my Mercedes and determined to be faulty and this is a common issue with this car. Yes the car makes a grinding noise going into reverse and clunks when going around sharp turns.

I find the design of the 2022 GLA Mercedes Benz to be flawed. Just the mere filling gas into the tank can cause the Charcoal Canister to go bad; causing the malfunction light to activate; unknown to consumers. A safety flap should be required over the gas hole to prevent any overflow. Although, the emission control system is covered under warranty - the dealership is trying to pass this on the consumers. If there is a conscious effort to prevent carbon poison of the environment this should be mandatory and not something that is allowed and picked up by consumers. My safety is at risk because this issue causes damage to the car which can result in car failure and death. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and per the dealer other consumers have had the same issue, so they are aware. There were no other problems, warnings or failures prior to gas being placed in the car sometime in May 2023.

The car makes a clunking sound when driving at a low speed or backing up. The clunking noise occurred after I bought it. The clunking noise began around 65k miles. The wheels make a rubbing noise also. I took car to my mechanic, he could not find anything.

Panoramic sunroof issue. I was driving on the highway 65 mph and opened my sunroof. As I tried to close the sunroof I heard a noise, like the sunroof was coming off the track. I was unable to close it. As I drove I felt like the sunroof could come off. I have an Appointment to have sunroof inspected. It does close.

The factory fuel rubber inlet hose going to the high pressure fuel pump leaks in cold weather conditions. Multiple dealerships and online forums are aware of this fuel leak but a recall has not been issued to have the hose and clamp replaced.

The contact owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated that while his son was driving approximately 55 MPH, the transmission erroneously shifted to neutral causing the vehicle to lose motive power and stall. Moments later the vehicle was restarted, and the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V033000 (Power Train). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 50,000. The contact stated that the vehicle shifts into neutral at highway speeds and it shows a transmission error.

The car had only 71,000 miles on it when it it had a crank no start situation that immobilized it and had to be towed. After diagnostics at two repair shops, it was determined that the exhaust camshaft was the cause. This model year car has a recall (Mercedes campaign 2015100009 and NHTSA campaign 15V662000) for the camshaft but not for the car's VIN. This failure should not occur in a car with this mileage. Had it suddenly stalled while driving, it could have resulted in a potential accident.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the clockspring in the steering column was fractured and made inoperable. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V627000 (Air Bags). The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
FCW gives a warning "Radar Sensors Dirty; See Operator's Manual" message in mild conditions of rain or light wet snow. Location is central Ohio. It happened this morning (2/15/2023) in light rain and temp probably in 40s. The message has appeared probably a few times per year since I've owned the vehicle (Dec. 2019). I took photos of the message on Jan. 31, 2020 (32 degrees F, thin layer of slush on front bumper) and April 21, 2021 (37 degrees F; front of vehicle appeared clean), so those are two other dates that it happened. I feel like it's not reasonable for such a system to not be able to operate in mild precipitation conditions.

I was getting a warning sign on my screen in car. Is said safety problem. I tried to tell Mercedes’ but they did not want to see the car . They told me to go to the mechanic who did a small job fixing the car due from a small collision. I did take it back and mechanic said he didn’t touch that. When I was going through all of this I told Mercedes’ financial to hold on my account . I did not want to pay for an unsafe car. The financial dept. agreed and I asked them to note it that I called about this issue. Because of not paying they repossessed the car and I could t do anything about this but pay. The car was leased and I did not want to pay for a car that was unsafe. Now I have a credit to pay off 13000 and I don’t want this . I tried to contact the company and got redirected to places that didn’t rely of do anything . I wanted a replacement . If I have to pay I wanted them to give me a car because I don’t have one since. The account disappeared and there was no notes on what happened all I have was the pictures of car and the write up from the mechanics inspection . He saw There was something wrong . I sent in letters and the punctures but got nothing back. I emailed the sakes guy to tell him, this was revolt and no reply . I was right and the car got recalled shortly after this . It’s not fault of my own it is the car company to support their customers . As a consumer my rights were ignored and I am demanding some kind of compensation for this. I asked for a replacement and no reply the vin number is [XXX] glc gla?? 300 black I lost the car in 2019 and have not had a car since .a repossession in my credit report does not help me My address info [XXX] I could not even get a copy of my contract due to a wipe out of my account . Please let me know what I can do after this complaint . All of this is wrong and should not beesoecialky Mercedes’ ! We were told a chip from Mercedes called Hermes is ordered and we will have navigation in this vehicle, disabled US Army Combat Veteran that relies upon this technology the technology of speaking my location and the vehicle routing it. We purchased the car for this function. After many attempts to contact the dealer the refuse to install and claim it was their mistake. I bought a car with Navigation needed for disability all my calls to take the vehicle back fell on deaf ears or at least put the promised component in the car so as to allow one to drive despite handicapped

Mercedes no longer supports the sos ( tel-aid) system, so this system no longer works...each time you start the car, the sos inoperative warning light is on, and it blocks other safety features ( speedometer etc..). You have to reset the light each time you get in the car. Without the support of the system there is no emergency alert theft tracking ,airbag deployment sent to MB etc etc. Mercedes no longer services this feature, and this is one of the reasons we bought this car. It's a tremendous safety concern. Even though there are dealer bulletins about this, there is no fix. All these cars should be purchased back by MB. I'm uncomfortable driving a car that could be involved in a collision, and the car not notifying MB, or the police

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, SERVICE BRAKES
Had an update on the software to control collision prevention on the car, and soon afterward it began to deploy at certain spots without any other car in front for at least 50 feet. Took it back to the M-B Seattle dealer and after 4 weeks of investigation, I was told that the matter is exterior to the car and that the car performs as intended. T still drive the car and it still gives me warnings of impending to engage the collision detection braking system. I don't feel very comfortable driving it in the city.

The contact owns a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLA250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The contact then stated that the horn and the speedometer failed to operate. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering column was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number; however, the contact was still awaiting a call back. The failure mileage was 69,605. The contact stated that they took the vehicle to two dealers and eventually paid out of pocket for the repairs. Unlike other vehicles with the same defects, the contact's vehicle is not a part of the recall.

Dec 2- filled car with gas, check engine light illuminated and then three more errors displayed on the dash. See list below. Errors displayed on dash… 1-INOPERATIVE -- SEE OPERATOR’S MANUAL (Shows ABS and skid icons) 2-COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS INOPERATIVE 3-ABS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE – SEE OWNER’S MANUAL 4-CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON Later that same day, Dec 2, we started the car but could not get it into Reverse. We shut the car off, started it again, and were able to shift into reverse and proceed. Dec 3rd- we attempted to remove and reapply the gas cap to see if engine light would go off and error messages would resolve. It did not. We did not drive the car that day. Dec 4 and Dec 5th- all above error warnings display all day. Dec 6th- We scheduled a service appt at Mercedes in Sarasota, FL for the 1st avail appt Dec 10th. We were told in writing the car could be driven until the appt and no additional issues should arise. Dec 7th- new error code appears… 5-REVERSING NOT POSSIBLE - SERVICE REQUIRED. This is when the car put our lives at risk. While driving, the car shifted itself into Nuetral. We were unable to get the car into gear as it continued to roll. Having no control of acceleration, we guided the car to the right to allow traffic to pass. We put the car in park, shut down the vehicle, wait 15 minutes, and restart. We were then able to drive forward, but WHILE MOVING, “REVERSING NOT POSSIBLE” reappeared, the car shifted itself into neutral again. We were unable to shift to DRIVE. We shut the car car down again, started it, shifted to drive, but it went into DRIVE 2 only. We drove in 2nd gear until we were safe off the road and home. We towed the car (12/7 evening) to Mercedes in Sarasota FL. Dec 8th: Service dept finds the two front wheel speed sensors failed and caused a chain reaction sequence of events. They referred to the problem as ‘minor’. This is a serious design flaw. We are lucky not to have been hurt or killed
