The rear K frame on Mercedes Benz C300 totaly rusted through and broke apart causing the entire rear of vehicle to rest upon the fuel tank. The failure also caused stress on rear brake lines. The vehicle is 10 years old with 90,000 miles purchased brand new and garaged. Mercedes has performed a recall on Canada vehicles but no USA vehicles. This is total negligence. This is going to cause a fatality. Either a vehicle will catch fire or brake lines will fail and cause an accident. The vehicle is known by the dealers to have this damage/failure. I googled and found numerous cases. Mercedes was not willing to stand by the vehicle and repair. This should be a recall like it is in Canada. I was quoted $5000.00 to repair by Mercedes.

I have a 2013 Mercedes Benz C 300 sport, and I felt my car shaking if I drive above speed of 35-40. Took it to Mercedes Benz dealership is Rockville center NY, they told me it is my subframe, which cost parts $2496 and labor $3704, Total $6196. Sad part is that my car is in excellent condition and Mercedes refuse from even helping to reduce cost.

This car was taken to a local Mercedes Benz dealership for repairs. Upon inspection, the dealer ship stated that the rear subframe was rusted on the vehicle and it was not safe to drive. Typically, frames do not rust out in 11 years and 110,000 miles on the car. I called Mercedes Benz to ask about this problem and their customer service representative immediately asked if this was the rear subframe. This tells me that Mercedes Benz has had numerous calls about this issue before. The Service Advisor at Germain Mercedes Benz stated that he had seen this issue on multiple occasions. We went to an independent service shop for a second opinion and they also stated that they had made this repair on this model of car. We have a strong suspicion that Mercedes is aware of this problem and has done nothing with it.

The dealership garage isla verde in carolina, refuse to service my car. They are the only Mercedes-Benz dealer in Puerto Rico and there is no other dealer that can service the recalls of my car. Currently they don’t want to fix the recall NTHSA# #21V197 Bonding of Panoramic Sunroof Panel - Wave 2 MY. Their service is poor and negligent. They make an appoinment to then cancel it and deny receiving me or my car on the only authorized dealer to fix the recall and denying any services to my car. They refuses my entrance.

I had a thumping sound in the rear of my 2011 Mercedes C300. I took it to our import car repair shop and found out that the rear subframe assembly was rusted out and needed to be replaced. They felt that since it was close to the fuel tank that they didn't feel safe letting me drive it. The car is in excellent shape otherwise and the mechanic said that this is the 2nd one like this that he's recently seen. Looking online, I've seen a number of complaints about the very same issue in Mercedes C300's from 2009-2014.

At approximately 26,500 miles of use, the check engine light came on in my Mercedes Benz C300. I brought the vehicle to the dealership and they informed me that the diagnosis was a crankcase vent valve malfunction. The MB fault code is P52E71. After paying Mercedes to fix the issue, I found forums on the internet where many other MB owners reported the same issue at around the same mileage. Being that this seems to be a common malfunction with the C300, I believe that it should be considered as a recall issue. I don't know what could have happened if I didn't service the vehicle, but any engine issue is dangerous while a vehicle is in motion.

Due to design flaw and/or poor material quality, I have a car with less than 100,000 miles that has completely rusted thru the subframe. I was told by a Mercedes Benz dealer that this is a common problem with this car. The cost of repair was quoted at $4000. This was only discovered due to the MB mechanic removing the covers on on the subframe discovering the rust. I was told it would not pass inspection but it just did in February at the dealer I bought the car from. I told the MB dealer this and they said they probably didnt know the covers need removed to see the issue. This is a huge safety issue that people who drive these cars are probably not aware of. Failure of this area could cause loss of control as this is a critical suspension link responsible for maintaining steering direction of the rear wheels. Once these linkages fail the driver will lose control of the car. MB needs to held accountable for this design flaw and get the cars recalled. I do not have $4000 just lying around to make this repair and will be forced to continue to drive this car.

I’m trying to ship my car back to the United States and there is a valid recall on my car which I have taken it to the dealership in Korea, which is where I’m currently at, and I cannot get me car updated either because they don’t understand the paper or because I don’t have an official recall which I have also encountered in the states. Without this update my car will not be shipped back home with me. Is there any way I can get this recall information in Korean to possibly make them perform the update.

The crankcase ventilation valve has gone out on my car. This is a continual problem with these vehicles at low mileage. Mercedes Benz should recall the part for repair as they stated it could damage the engine.

I drove over an object on the highway and noticed my car veering left and wobbly when turning. A week after, it is squealing like a load of piglets in my trunk whenever I go over a bump, then my battery light came on and I took it to the shop and contacted my insurance, who denied my claim saying it was 'wear and tear'.

The vehicle lost power on the Freeway, coasted the off-ramp, and came to a stop, the dealership after describing the issue said that it sounded like a bad piston. Said they have had a couple come in with the same problem. Their diagnosis was a bad piston a day later. The mileage is less than 50,000 miles and the car was driven daily to work 4 miles each way. There were no warnings or symptoms of failure prior to happening. The warranty on the vehicle has expired on 7/1/2021

The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated the sunroof failed to close and was stuck open. The vehicle was taken to dealer and was diagnosed that the sunroof rail, motor and rods needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated while driving at 15-20 MPH, she noticed that the sunroof was lifting up. The contact decreased her speed to 10-15 MPH and moved to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated that sunroof flew off and landed on the ground. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at her own expense.
