SummaryTT: TMS has discovered the current engine active test ?Control the Injection Mode? is not operating as desired when controlling the direct injectors manually on 2GR-FKS or 8AR-FTS engines. When direct injection is started and then stopped using the active test, current ECU logic does not turn off the direct injectors and can cause DTCs P017200, P017500 and P0160300. In order to avoid this condition, technicians should raise engine RPM when changing from Direct Injection active test to Port Injection active test. Use the recommended procedure below to avoid this concern while testing injection mode of 2GR-FKS or 8AR-FTS equipped vehicles. NOTE: If the active test is used multiple times without using this procedure to raise engine RPM, it may be necessary to reset learning values for fuel trim and Air to Fuel ratio before returning vehicle to customer.

SummaryWPB: Background: Lexus has received reports where some vehicles may exhibit cracked and/or sticky/melting dashboards as a result of heat or humidity. In Mid-December, 2014 Lexus announced the reimbursement phase of this warranty enhancement program. Since this announcement, Lexus has been diligently making parts preparations for the parts replacement phase of this program. Due to the age, volume, and breadth of the covered vehicles involved in the Program, and the size and complexity of dashboard manufacturing, Lexus will be launching the part replacement portion of this Program in several phases; please refer to the table below for part replacement model phasing.

Summary"TT: TMS HAS DISCOVERED THE CURRENT ENGINE ACTIVE TEST CONTROL THE INJECTION MODE IS NOT OPERATING AS DESIRED WHEN CONTROLLING THE DIRECT INJECTORS MANUALLY ON 2GR-FKS OR 8AR-FTS ENGINES. NOTE: IF THE ACTIVE TEST IS USED MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT USING THIS PROCEDURE TO RAISE ENGINE RPM, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO RESET LEARNING VALUES FOR FUEL TRIM AND AIR TO FUEL RATIO BEFORE RETURNING VEHICLE TO CUSTOMER."

SummaryLSB: Lexus models equipped with the HDD Navigation (EMV-N) System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB drive to update the map, points of interest, Gracenote®, and system software. The SST is used with all vehicles to deliver the update, however a unique Activation Number is required for each vehicle. Activation Numbers are provided in an Activation Card Number (ACN) pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Use the process described in this bulletin to perform the update.

SummaryLSB: Lexus models equipped with Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Navigation require a Special Service Tool and follow a unique process for updating map, points of interest, and system software. Instead of individual DVDs installed into the vehicle, all Map Data is uploaded directly to the HDD system. Map Data will be released annually through direct shipment of tow Map Data DVDs to each dealership service manager. The annual Map Data release must then be installed onto the Navigation Update Tool. Individual map updates are then loaded into the vehicles with special map security keys. These keys are available through the normal parts ordering system. Keys are loaded onto the Navigation Update Tool through a PC or Techstream unit using software found on the Technical Information System (TIS). Follow the procedures listed in this bulletin to: Identify the current version of Map Data on the vehicle and on the Navigation Update Tool, Load Map Data onto the Navigation Update Tool, Load map security key(s) onto the Navigation Update Tool, and Connect the Navigation Update Tool to the vehicle and update the Map/System Data to the latest version.
