The moon roof on the roof of the vehicle shattered. However, it was not a typical "starburst" pattern from an impact. We did not have any impacts. Instead, the shatter pattern was a series of sinusoidal waves. This glass fracture pattern has been identified by researchers in scholarly papers as a manufacturing defect or a stress fracture from torsional forces.

The dealership and manufacturer have indicated that the design of the 2023 long wheel base model causes the OEM brakes pads to wear through at an accelerated rate. They are replacing them with a different model though nor covering the replacement under warranty.

The component is Land Rover windshields and design of 2024 vehicles. I am on my 6th windshield in a little over a year since purchase. I have had a crack and runs in my vision on the window more than a clear vision through the windshield. The Land Rover Company/manufacturer/dealerships know if the defect design of windshields. Capital Glass in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has changed and commented on the number of windshields that have been replaced on Range Rovers, and Defenders all produced by Land Rover.

rear brakes were worn only after 13 mths of driving a brand new range rover and that was driving slow and never pushing the car. Out of the 20+ vehicles i've owned in my lifetime i've never seen a vehicle requiring new brake pads at 10-15k miles. Basically, we need to replace the brake pads every year with the annual service which is unacceptable and clearly faulty.

Stopped at red light -- while waiting there came a very loud bang in back. I got out to inspect the rear and found the back window was fully crazed with two sizeable holes. I could find nothing that might explain the damage -- no projectiles in our outside the car -- no damage to the car other than a decimated rear window. By the time i got home the window was 80% broken in with the trunk area filled with shards. Another search (including with police) found nothing to explain the issue. Seems to be a manufacturing failure perhaps triggered by atmospheric events (temp or pressure changes)?

windshield, I cracked my 3rd windshield in 18 months and approx 7 windshields in 10 years. I replace this vehicle annually with the identical make and model range rover. The smallest stone chips the windshield and the chip turns into long cracks across the windshield within hours to a couple of days. I have alerted Land Rover to this.

On my 7 passenger RR when the button is pushed for the second row seat to move up to allow a passenger in the third row access, if the button is accidentally pressed to move the seat back into place, it will not automatically disengage if someone is stuck between the seat and vehicle frame. This happened to me. I moved the seat forward in order to lean into the third row to attach a booster seat. As I was leaning on the car frame to reach the 3rd row, my body somehow pressed the button that allows the second row seat to go back into position. I did not hear it moving back into place. I became stuck in between the seat and the car frame. I could not move and the seat would not release off my back. It was crushing me and my lung capacity was being compressed. I pushed with all my might for it to move off me and I could feel it compress my lungs further. I found a latch to pull but that did not release it. With half of my body inside the vehicle I could not reach the button that I was leaning on. I tried everything. Thank God I had my 6 yo grandson to help by climbing from the 3rd to 2nd row to push the button. Also, thank God, I'm a strong woman, former USMC, because if that had been a weaker person or a child I believe they would have been crushed. The vehicle can be inspected upon request and I have reported the incident to my dealership.

I purchased this Range Rover in November of 2022. The vehicle was serviced once at the dealership for wind noise on June 26, 2023. The vehicle was parked at my home for a week while our family was on vacation before I returned on August 10th, 2023. It was not driven during this time period. On August 10th, 2023 I came out of the house to drive the vehicle and remotely unlocked the car and sat in the vehicle. One of my children's cars was parked behind me, so I got out of the car and took another vehicle to run a quick 20 minute errand. I returned home and went inside the house. Shortly thereafter the Range Rover caught fire under the hood on the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked under the soffit of my house and ended up catching my entire house on fire. The car continued to burn under the hood until it was put out by the fire department. The fire department and other investigators traced the source of the fire to the right front portion of the Range Rover under the hood on the passenger side. My neighbor also witnessed the car buring in this area right before he went to get a fire extinguisher and call the fire department.

Unsatisfactory Review for 2025 Range Rover SE I purchased a 2025 Range Rover SE in November 2024 for nearly $200,000, expecting a luxury vehicle with reliability to match its price tag. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. In December 2024, just one month after purchase, the vehicle completely died while I was driving on the highway—a terrifying and unacceptable failure for a brand-new car. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it has remained ever since. What has made this experience even worse is Range Rover’s appalling customer service. The company’s “repurchasing” agreement process, which I initiated nearly two months ago, is lengthy, convoluted, and appears designed to disadvantage the customer at every step. Despite repeated attempts to get answers, there has been no clear timeline for resolution, no updates from anyone with decision-making authority, and absolutely no way to escalate the matter to management. For a vehicle in this price range, I expected premium customer care, but what I’ve received is the opposite: silence, frustration, and the sense that Range Rover cares more about protecting itself than making things right for its customers. Until Range Rover makes significant improvements to the reliability of its vehicles and its customer service, I cannot recommend this brand to anyone. Buyers beware—you may end up with a luxury-priced lemon and no way to resolve it.

Seats are electric in the rear and do not have any sensors if someone is sitting in them. The seats will fold and crush occupant. We have had 3 incidents leading to minor injuries with different children where the child will inadvertently hit the seat folding button and get injured. This occurred for the 3rd time when my business partner borrowed the vehicle this last weekend for a ski trip and his [XXX] son's arm got stuck in the seat. Happened to me with my [XXX] daughter who was only not crushed because of the car seat. Also, my CFO, [XXX] has borrowed the car, and his [XXX] son got injured with it. This four month old 2024 Range Rover LWB with Bosch brakes experienced a sudden and complete loss of braking capabilities. When the driver went to brake and while turning into a parking stall, the brake pedal was not in its usual position and did not work. It was stuck to or close to the floor mat and was unresponsive. The brake was not at the normal position springing back after having previously compressed it. The braking system failure happened at a low speed after a series of turns. The driver was unable to stop the vehicle and it crashed. The lack of braking capability occurred for multiple seconds while going into a parking space until the vehicle crashed. The driver attempted emergency measures when the vehicle’s brakes were unresponsive in a desperate attempt to do anything to stop the vehicle. That included potentially pushing the park button in the center console. After multiple seconds of the brakes not working and the driver attempting to take any measure to stop the vehicle and the vehicle extending onto a sidewalk past the parking lot, the driver accidentally hit the accelerator. The car was already off the roadway about to crash prior to the acceleration. The acceleration sped up the crash a second later. The car was totaled. There are multiple data and video evidence. The are numerous emails describing the incident in greater detail that can be provided. Some of the evidence was destroyed according to JLR as JLR states there is a designed pyrotechnic explosion that occurs post crash to dislodge the brake pedal to avoid entrapment. That does not explain the loss of braking system and unresponsiveness of the brake pedal prior to the crash. Range Rover and Progressive are conducting independent inspections. Range Rover claims that the brake system was never engaged and that the crash was user error. We believe Range Rover is attempting to whitewash the incident to avoid identifying a problem, costly repairs, claims, a recall, or a combination.

SERVICE BRAKES, SUSPENSION, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Multiple Safety Concerns: 1)The vehicles Emergency Braking System engaged TWICE, SUDDENLY, and in busy traffic/highway situations. Now told BREAK PADS AND ROTORS are worn and rusted badly-unusually soon for a newly purchased car-less than a year old. The Austin Jaguar Land Rover dealership’s service person told me “most clients are replacing at 9,500 miles.” If this is truly the case, then why would my sensor warning system not alert me sooner? 2) The vehicle engine coolant light keeps coming on. Dealer told me to “top it off.” I check weekly and have to refill the coolant tank-now worried vehicle has faulted hoses or radiator and will overheat & catch on fire. There are a high number of owners of this vehicle brand, make, and model that are inquiring online about these safety concerns. Please investigate. Looking forward to a response.
