SEAT BELTS
2nd row captains chair seatbelts spontaneously release without pressing button. This has happenned on both sides and multiple times. The issue occurs even after driving for a bit after hearing the click and tugging on the seatbelt to confirm initial latching.

SUSPENSION
Rear of car was noisy going over bumps, self leveling shocks were replaced at around 16k miles , then shocks failed again at less than a year at 49k miles and replaced a 2nd time. SERVICE BRAKES, STEERING
When ever I hit the breaks in a small bump the vehicle vibrates "steering wheel and the brake pedal" not able to control the vehicle almost bump into the car in front of me. I when to my local dealer for it to be inspected and I show the my dashcam videos and one of the mechanics joined me in a test drive for them to diagnose what's happening the same vibration happened when I brake while passing a small bump and the mechanic saw what happened or how it happened and we went back to the dealership they diagnosed the vehicle but they dont have a solution for what have happened i was just afraid that it could happen anytime with my family in the vehicle cause there is no warning when or when it will happen and I cant just simply avoid small bumps in the road cause it's everywhere.

SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On expressway traveling through Atlanta, changing lanes with plenty of clearence using signal at approximately 55 mph when suddenly alarm sounded and breaking system engaged bringing car to almost complete STOP. COULD NOT ACCELERATE and fortunately made it to berm area without causing SERIOUS accident. Turned engine off and restarted vehicle and continued on my way. Had vehicle checked at dealership and they said “all checked out and we found no diagnostics problem”. Also weren’t able to duplicate incident. I hope to God I AM UNABLE to duplicate the incident and cause fatalities including myself.

How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -The vehicle stalled in the middle of a two lane road at the top of a hill, as well as in the middle of the highway. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -Yes, the vehicle is currently waiting for a replacement engine because the original engine failed due to oil consumption issues. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -No, the low oil light was never on. A warning code or light did not appear until the vehicle was stalled.

SERVICE BRAKES
ABS shakes when crossing over different terrains. Car does not stop as fast as it should. I am afraid for the safety of my family and other drivers on the road if I can't stop. I have brought the car to the dealer several times since I bought it new and they say they can't recreate it. The last time, they recommended changing my brakes. I brought it to a private mechanic and they said it's not the brakes, it's the ABS. Then I come to find out that many people have the same problem and some have had accidents as a result of not being able to stop. There are 2 class action lawsuits calling for a recall. Please make Hyundai fix this issue before there are deaths on their hands.

The contact owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the safety belt on the rear driver's and passenger's side seats would unintentionally unlatch. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle remained at the place of residence. A dealer was contacted however, the diagnosis was pending. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

SEAT BELTS
Seat belt on front passenger seat randomly comes unlatched while driving. I asked my dealership to review this in May 2024 and then again in 1/2025 as it keeps happening. The seat belt is clicked and suddenly comes loose and then the seatbelt alarms start going off. Dealership has not been able to replicate. I would say this has happened about 6 times since I started noticing it. The dealership since they can't replicate, they won't pay for it. And say no recall. I am paying for the dealership to change out the seat belt.

Child Safety Lock Failure notice - both parked or driving, I will hear a clicking noise coming from the doors. Sometimes I will receive a Child Safety Lock Failure error message on the dash. This would sporadically continue to happen while driving and even if my vehicle is parked and off and I happen to do something like open the doors. The vehicle has been serviced numerous times by Hyundai dealership and the door actuators have been replaced but the problem persists.

SEAT BELTS
My second row passenger side sealtbelt unlatched itself without notice when driving on the highway at 50 miles per hour. My grandson was sitting in his booster seat when the seatbelt unlatched! It was a frightening ordeal! We were on an expeessway with limited availability to pull over. The adult passenger in the other second row seat made several attempts to secure my grandson's seat belt after it unlatched, while the car was in motion, unsuccessfully. We purchased this vehicle 2 months ago from a dealership. As soon as we got the car, both of the second row seatbelts were very hard to lock. Several attempts had to be made to get them to lock every time they were used with a child seat. The vehicle is available for inspection. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center since this happened today. I have made an appointment with a dealer to have my seatbelt replaced in 2 weeks. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps pr messages that indicated this problem. Once again, there were symptoms of the problem because when we first got the car, we had to make several attempts for both 2nd row seatbelts to lock when used with a car seat.it was highly annoying!!! But I had no idea the seatbelt would ever unlock itself. Scary!!!!

The contact stated that the alarm sounded as if the seat belt was not being used while the seat was occupied. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 44,000.

It started 4 years ago right after purchasing the vehicle. I slammed on my breaks and my child’s seatbelt unbuckled and he came flying forward and hit the back of the seat in front. I reported this to the Hyundai dealership where they reluctantly replaced my seatbelt. It has come unlatched less frequently. Now the seatbelt on the other side continues to come unlatched while driving. It happens about once every couple months, and always while driving. I am very concerned for my child’s safety and worry about having to slam on my breaks.

oil filter housing cracking and leaking How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? if engine fails due to oil leak (no oil) oil on the road is never a good thing, Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes it has been confirmed. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no not at this time . Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? after oil service at dealer noticed small spots of oil, assumed it was residual from service, but spots are now the size of a paper plate after driving, for around 50 miles .

Magnetic chest clip malfunctions, does not fasten properly. The car seat is not designs to replace the chest clip with a functioning replacement. This allowed my child to unrestrain herself easily and posed a hazard to her in case of a wreck.

Component/System: Windshield. Description of the Issue: My 2023 Hyundai Palisade’s windshield developed a small crack, which has progressively spread into a longer line over time. The crack appeared without any significant external impact, raising concerns about the overall quality and durability of the windshield. Safety Risk: The growing crack reduces visibility and compromises the structural integrity of the windshield, potentially putting my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk. Reported/Confirmed by Dealer: I reported the issue to my Hyundai dealership, but they stated that there is no recall or warranty coverage for this problem. Inspection Status: The dealership acknowledged the issue but did not provide any solutions, leaving me to seek independent repair options. I have not yet involved an independent service center, insurance, or other third parties for inspection. Symptoms Prior to Failure: There were no warning signs or indicators before the crack appeared. It developed suddenly and unexpectedly, despite regular vehicle use under normal conditions. Additional Information: Upon researching online, I discovered numerous complaints from other Hyundai Palisade owners regarding the poor quality of the windshield. This pattern suggests a potential manufacturing defect that Hyundai has not yet addressed.
